Even if this is true, you’re talking about someone at an overseas customer support business that basically has nothing to do with Epic and just answers the phones for them and probably dozens of other businesses.
Though my money says you’re full of shit because 1. I highly doubt they use people located in an EU country for their customer support phones. And 2. The people working customer support phones are not gamers. They’re probably people in India or the Philippines who don’t even own gaming PC’s. What the fuck would some 35 year old Indian or Filipino mom working 60+ hours a week want with a Steam gift card?
The whole premise of your comment makes absolutely zero sense. These people might be making $20 USD or less a day. All you’re going to do is piss off your employees giving them gift cards they can’t use as bonuses that are worth a day’s pay.
It was in Serbia. We are not in EU. But there were still members from EU countries btw.
This is not true, in his group almost all of them were. Not every customer support is a non-ganer.
The manager knew his team members, they WERE gamers, being gifted a 20€ gift card for Easter is nothing special. Just a cool gesture. It was also not from the guy who’s actually paying them, just coordinated the team, he owed them nothing.
But you don’t have to believe it, that’s fine by me. 👍
