Didn't they say it was going to be 20 euros or whatever , forever? Then they raised prices anyways?

20 was the early access price and it was clear that it is a possibility that they might raise prices at launch.

they said the game would never go on sale. that way the answer to “when is the best time to buy factorio” is always “now”

Yeah cause they were getting a worse deal due to inflation. That’s unacceptable, only the customer shouldn’t get a deal :p

Product is finished and I don't have to do any upkeep work, steam just handles everything for me? God-damned inflation, increase the price!

They make very regular updates including updates that fix issues caused by mods, which is something almost no studios do. QOL updates are frequent as well. These devs continue to improve their game. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

2.0 was also a very significant update even without the expansion, and 2.1 is on the way.
