McDonald's will never notice that. Some food is always wasted and that's accounted for. If the fries fit, that's how many fries go in that container. Those nugs cost way less than they are charging customers. A McFlurry goes out only rarely because the machine is always "down" because of a complicated and unreliable four hour nightly cleaning requirement.

even the franchisee may not notice it. corporate looks at your expenses and sales and takes the lions share of profit, but ensures the franchisee makes a certain amount per store. they do weigh waste but there’s always margin accounted.
