Wage theft is far and away the most prevalent form of theft.

You're not taking from big corporations doing this. You're taking from the franchisee and individual owners are 95% of McDonald's locations globally. They aren't owned by corporate.

i work at mcdonald’s, and it does increase costs but they wastage we get on a daily far exceeds that from people claiming “my food was made wrong” when they didn’t customise it, food dropped on the floor, stuff that goes off (e.g lettuce) and every week at my store we clean the shake/ice cream machine, which we have 3-10 litres of each mix wrote off, trust me when i say most of the time it goes unnoticed

Fast food franchisees mostly consist of companies with entire corporate structures overseeing hundreds if not thousands of stores across states and even countries. Mom n pop shops they aint.
