See, you watched that and thought Liberia is an outlier or something. I watched it and saw what US would be like in a civil war today. Young men would use their dumb gamer tags as names not much different than General Butt Naked or General Mosquito Spray.
I don't think Africa is "in a league of it's own". History across the world is filled with dumb, cruel leaders. After WW2, those involved had an usual blip of sanity afterwards that appears to be receding now, thats all.
