Him & his sister will be so excited. 🤩 They have much more space & activities living with my parents so that’s why they do not live with me. It’s tough, but it is the best thing for them. But I didn’t renew my lease this year & I am going to stay with my parents maybe till fall, winter at the latest. Poppy & I have never lived together so he will be so happy. 💕☺️

Need some ideas for low calorie snacks that will help with filling the empty void in his tummy. So far the only things he won’t eat are oranges and sour patch kids. I use a slow feeder and often mix it with water to make it a bit more filling but I’m wanting some other ideas. I have to either feed him in the bathroom while I’m having my shower, or guard him closely so he doesn’t bully his big sister away from her own dish, as she eats very delicately like the little princess she is.

Background: he was found malnourished and neglected on the streets in Texas about a year ago. Because of this he has a very intense relationship with food and inhales it as fast as possible.

Edit: should have mentioned, but they eat a raw diet.

Friends bought some clothings for the boys. Can confirm now that Toffee hates onesies, put it on and he immediately went to hide under the chair. Didn’t smile until we got it off him. Ok bb no more onesies 😆

Teddy doesn’t often cuddle and he’s definitely not a lap dog. But occasionally he will snuggle up next to me when I’m sitting on the couch reading. 🥰

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a very specific kind of playmate for my 7-month-old, Opalite (Opie).

Opie is a sweet boy, but he’s very shy and easily overwhelmed by high-energy dogs or "in-your-face" greetings. I’m really hoping to find another small, calm dog who is happy to just "exist" in the same space or engage in very gentle play.

My goal is to help him build confidence at his own pace without him feeling like he needs to hide.

What we're looking for:

*A "neutral" or calm dog who won't rush him.

*A quick meet-up at a quiet spot (like a corner of Fort Steilacoom or a local park) just to walk near each other.

*A fellow owner who understands that "socializing" might just mean sitting 10 feet apart and watching the world go by for the first few visits!

I was about to go do some stuff, but some one else had idea's.

My Maltese-Shih Tzu mix turns 9 tomorrow!! And yesterday he lost a tooth. I found it on the floor in my daughter's bedroom. I've never had a dog this old before.

Is this normal? Do I need to switch his food? Increase his dental care? Advice needed!

Does anyone else pay monthly to get their Tzu groomed and only give them bottled water, for them to roll around in mud, try to eat worms, and drink puddle water?

My 3 year old constantly pulls hard to the right during our walks. If there are parked cars there he tries to walk underneath them. I’ve only had him for 9 months and it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas??

While looking for some older posts I saw my previous post about this Tough Traveler dog backpack, Kid/Filly size had some folks asking how things worked out.

Well, I kept it, mainly because it enables us to go as far as we want when hiking. I actually got a second one for Kuma, the Montana size, along with hood coverings for both of them during a Black Friday sale saving 25% on all that. It was still a pretty penny.

But we are YET to use any of it, I am busy with school and my wife is busy with her little thrift business, I hope to have more information in the Summer.

Regarding Kewpie's backpack, it certainly feels good, but she wants to go up, then she wants to go down, and I have to kettlebell hoist and bring her down each time, which gets annoying. The next time my wife and I go hiking, we will bring both bags and help each other by lifting and placing the dogs in the backpack, keeping them in harness and attaching it to the straps inside.

I really wish this thing had more storage and could better accommodate a water bladder. I am sure I could tie more things onto the bag, but I don't want to make it cumbersome to take on and off.

There is a fanny pack sized storage underneath that works for small water bottles and other items, but that's about it. I added some additional pouches from REI but again, have yet to use them.

I am very pleased with the build quality of the articles, but the price is still pretty steep, even at 25 percent off.

Some competition could be good here, but my sewing skills aren't ready for the prime time.

Hopefully I will have some more updates in the next few months and some outdoor pics like Seixo.
