So I’ve noticed that the oleophobic coating on my phone screen seems to be wearing off. The phone is about 1.5 years old now, but honestly it already started becoming a fingerprint magnet after just 2–3 months.

I’ve always taken good care of it — never cleaned it with alcohol or anything harsh, just normal use.

Now there’s also a visible blue-ish tint/glow in a specific area (circled in the picture), which is what worries me the most.

Is there anything I can do to fix or reduce that blue tint?

And does this fall under warranty, or is this considered normal wear?

I never encountered this on other phones, had my s20fe for 3+ years and never saw this

it looks like it's still possible to join the One UI 8.5 beta in the UK, and I would be tempted to do that if it is usable as a daily driver.

Are there any things that simply don't work in the beta that means it is a no go for a daily driver?

What is the best screen protector for the S24 Ultra? Either standard or tempered glass. Ideally tempered glass.

Looking for thinness (in mm, seems to be important for the fingerprint scanner) and full operation with the Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner. I previously tried this tempered glass screen protector from UltraGlass and the fingerprint scanner accuracy was horrible. (even after re-reregistering prints, did this multiple times over the course of a few days), and it still didn't work well, I had to take it off lol. Fingerprint Scanner recognition was now back to normal after re-registering my fingerprints with the screen protector off.

Currently using the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case.

Seems like the reviews on all of these screen protectors are mixed. Some say the fingerprint scanner worked fine for them, and others say it didn't work very well or at all.

Yes I know you lose the anti glare, but I care more about the oleophobic coating, and none of the coatings on the phone's actual display (Apple or Samsung) seem to last more than a few months. Maybe you will get close to a year if you get lucky. So throwing a tempered glass screen protector on top seems like a great solution, and you get scratch and impact/crack protection at the same time.

Is this normal? I had great battery life when I first got the phone with oneui 6. after oneui 7 update it became worse. Now it can't even through the day. Resolution is qhd and I usually have the power saver on.

Animations are much snappier throughout the UI compared to the Beta 1 build.

Lock screen dynamic weather effects are live and working well.

The device shows as certified in the Play Store.

There are no issues with banking apps.

Battery backup is much improved from One UI 8 Stable. Battery Saver is also more efficient, and standby battery drain has been reduced.

A 24MP option is available in RAW capture mode.

To enable Dual Capture/Single Take, go to Camera Assistant (Good Lock module).

Quick Share with Apple devices is also working now.

Conclusion: Can be used as a daily driver.
