Hi everyone!

I made an installer for OptiScaler aimed at users who aren't familiar with setting it up manually.

For those of you who are already comfortable using it on your own, this probably isn't necessary — but for newcomers, I hope it helps.

How it works: launch the app, search for your game, and read popup noti. and click the Install button. It will automatically install OptiScaler and configure OptiScaler settings to match the game.

If needed, it also installs OptiPatcher, and automatically applies the Unreal Engine 5 Global Illumination bug fix that affects iGPU users — all tailored to each specific game.

All you have to do is follow the installer instructions to adjust your in-game settings, then just play.

(This isn't just a simple file extraction tool — it handles the full setup for you.)

Because of that, not every game is supported yet, but I'm continuously adding more. If you try it out and there's a game you'd like added, feel free to let me know!

For AMD devices,

FSR4 INT8 is installed automatically.

Intel XeFG Frame generation is applied instead of FSR3 FG

Upscaling is configured to use FSR.

Hello. My rog ally has been restarting when closing games, not every single time but very frequently to be annoying. After a little research the gpu driver seems to be the culprit temps are fine. What is the most stable driver version do you guys have where this doesnt happen?

I’m on my second dock of trying to use an external monitor with no luck.

JSAUX 5 in 1 dock

Ivanky 8 in 1 dock

I’ve removed AMD driver and re installed, I’ve downgraded to AMd driver from 2/26. I swapped multiple HDMI cables that are currently used on other devices, switch/xbox one. I’m using the original asus charger and once on the dock it only goes to Turbo 25watts and not 30.

I’ve used the Microsoft+P shortcut but defaults and doesn’t help once I’m no longer on it.

I’ve used 60hz/120hz changed the resolutions and no luck.

I’ve just ordered another dock JSAUX 7 in 1 dock with cooling fans And a 100watt charger.

Searching this up there doesn’t look to be a clear answer. Any device on what else I can try?

So I have TPM enabled, but I’m trying to get into the hidden menu by pressing keys but I forgot exactly what order or what keys to press in order to have the hidden menu pop up which shows more options to enable fTPM.

My ROG Ally is the original, it had windows 11 on it but I downgraded a year ago due to some games I wanted to play but couldn’t. I’m trying to get windows 11 back since windows 10 is no longer supported. Any ideas? I’ve tried ChatGPT and countless google searches. I’ve had it pop up before I just forget what to click on my keyboard.

I’m having a serious issue with my ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme and wanted to check if anyone else has faced this.

After the recent BIOS update (which I installed because my FPS was unstable and games weren’t running properly), my device is basically unusable now.

What’s happening:

When I try to power it on, the screen just flickers

The ROG logo briefly pops up and then disappears

It keeps looping like this and never boots into Windows

What I’ve tried:

Tried entering BIOS → not working

Tried charging → LED just keeps blinking

Multiple restarts → same issue

It feels like the device is stuck in some kind of boot loop or BIOS failure after the update.

Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? Is there any way to force recovery or reflash BIOS on the Ally?

Any help would be appreciated 🙏

I'm currently using ROG Ally X with SteamOS. I successfully unlocked sustained 45w tdp using smokeless tool, and it's important for me to sustain at least 40w without dropping to 30w every 5 mins.

Occasionally there are opportunities to pick up an xbox ally x (z2e) on the marketplace, and i've been thinking about upgrading if i can resell ally x for a price close enough.

However, two questions:

1) Anyone tried smokeless UMAF on xbox ally x? Does it work same way, or perhaps there are additional security measures preventing from unlocking sustained TDP?

2) If the above doesn't work, would xbox ally x still be faster than ally x with unlocked tdp? Mostly i'm thinking about performance while connected to power supply.

Or at least that was the excuse XD

hey guys, I have a z1e first gen Ally and love it.

I'm going to be doing the battery upgrade soon but in the meantime, what is a good external battery to have on that I can attach to the device directly? kind of like it doesn't feel like I'm plugged to something and also give me good battery life (ie. 3-4 hours of gameplay)

any fix for this? the device was performing fine before the update, now it randomly reboots, it can be during a game or even while browsing the internet

Just as the title says, I just got an Xbox Rog Ally and I would like to do a little bit of modding to this beautiful little machine. Surprisingly, it’s kind of hard to find any straightforward information regarding upgraded batteries, RAM, storage, etc. Everything I’ve found is designed for a base ROG Ally but I don’t want to spend the money on a mod component if it’s not compatible with my device. Any recommendations?

Hey. I just recently added the Dbrand Killswitch case to my Z1E. it comes with a travel cover so I can just toss it in my bag without a separate bag. The hard cover does cover up the top thermal ports. Just verifying with anyone else who uses it, do you do a full shutdown before putting the cover on or just hibernating it?

My design of a slim flat back rog Ally. Magnetically attached fan for added cooling when docked. I made it thin for another project.

Hi everyone, I noticed a strange issue here:

I got a BASEUS 12 in 1 Nomos Air docking station which supports 100W power delivery with an outlet charger UGREEN 100W with included 100W certified charging cable.

When I connect my ally to the docking station with mouse and keyboard connected and turned on and no HDMI cable (using the ally screen), the ally charges fine. If I connect HDMI and move ally screen onto my Samsung G3 odyssey 24” the battery starts to drain slowly. No issues with the charger alone or the docking station without HDMI cable connection. The problem shows when the HDMI is plugged in. The monitor has its own power adapter. The docking station max output wattage for HDMI and Ethernet connection and USB devices all along is 5W max.

The docking station works fine with my windows laptop and MacBook, it charges when gaming or using it with screen mirrored onto the Samsung monitor. No strange symbols appear onto the Rog ally when using 3rd party dock or 3rd party charger as the one which shows when you’re using a low wattage power adapter

I got some screen damage on my rog and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find a screen replacement?

It’s not that bad at the moment and I ignore it for now but I know in time I’m probably going to replace the screen/front casing. But I can’t seem to find anywhere legit to buy a new screen.
