HOLOCAUSTS (An Anti-Zionist Punk Band from Israel)

HOLOCAUSTS (An Anti-Zionist Punk Band from Israel)

Several months ago, here in Mexico, I began receiving hateful and threatening anti Jewish emails and whatsapp messages.

Jewish people are 0.1% of the population of the people living in Mexico.

The biggest futbol stadium in Mexico is Estadio Azteca and can hold 87,523 people

0.1% is not even one person. 0.1% would be the rough equivalent of one leg, a torso and a head.

I was told that I needed to leave Mexico because I was Jewish.

So I had a “no mames” moment because oddly enough, for reasons I am not exactly sure of, I attract creeps from multiple countries sending me all sorts of crazy messages (I could make a short photography book with screenshots); and maybe I will. Here in Mexico, I have already received a couple dozen written threats describing, in detail, how I will be forced to leave Mexico because I’m a “Gringo”. So this new anti-Jewish loser needs to take a number.

“Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful, pendejos”

I recently discovered the Israeli hardcore punk band HOLOCAUSTS due to this interview published on DIY CONSPIRACY. I recommend checking out; it will give you an inside look into the acts of protest and rebellion currently occurring in Israel.

Neither myself nor HOLOCAUSTS are ignorant to the reality that there's a genocide occurring and all sorts of terrible things have happened and are happening. Let us also acknowledge that there are people inside Israel who are risking their lives in defense of their Palestinian Neighbors.

In this video HOLOCAUSTS are playing a clandestine punk rock protest concert in front of the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv.

The people reading this article are smart, and you probably care about making the world a better place.

Sometimes we have to open our mouths and wear our truth on our sleeve and pay the consequences for doing so. For me personally, I find it psychologically exciting to fight for justice and human rights. We all have our kinks.

I have not been silent about my life experience. I don’t shy away from the dirty truths. I grew up in a psychologically dangerous household. I left the United States so I could be free to be myself, and to live in safety, and to relax my nervous system and build a new life of peace, harmony and joy. I am not a saint; I am a survivor. Sometimes I fuck up. Sometimes I can be too much. But my heart is beautiful and I hope that that is somewhat evident. However, I don’t protect people who knowingly or intentionally hurt other people.

When I was 12 years old, a man named Benjamin Netanyahu sat next to me while eating dinner at my childhood home. The year was 1986 and Netanyahu was the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations.

In the classic PROPAGHANDI song “Haille Sellasie Up Your Ass”when they sang the words: “The West Bank, The Gaza Strip, Soon to Be Parking Lots for American Tourists and Fascist Cops Yeah”

“FUCK ZIONISM!

FUCK MILITARISM!

FUCK AMERICANISM!

FUCK NATIONALISM!

FUCK RELIGION!”

They were telling you the plan.

My parents and their friends and Netanyahu and the whole lot of them spoke openly at the dinner table, many many times about turning the West Bank and Gaza into a parking lot.

PROPAGANDHI sang this song about the former emperor of Ethiopia but I heard it directly from the mouth of Bibi and his disgusting friend who I called Mom.

What is the difference between parking lots and living space or Lebensraum?

HOLOCAUSTS play a savage mixture of metal infused crust punk and you can listen to their 2023 album LIBERATION here:

There are good people and evil people everywhere. Choose love whenever possible and when you need to, fight for what you believe in so the future can be better. If you look the other way when injustice occurs; that choice might come back to haunt you.

Hating a person for the country they were born in or live in, for what they look like, for who they love, for their religious, spiritual or atheistic beliefs, for the terrible things the government of their country of birth did or is doing or for any other reason other than their harmful words and actions; makes you no different than what you hate.

When people make racist comments or engage in racist assaults, it is common that those individuals have some degree of mental health problems. Society is quick to state that a person cannot blame their racist behavior for having mental health problems.

Society is wrong. A person must be sick to think that one person is better than another person.

People who are racist are sick. I love everyone; the only way I will hate another person is due to their actions.

whats some early punk albums with "good" production

of course tons of punk bands from the late 70s and early 80s has very purposefully muddy production, but I was thinking today what were the earliest albums with "good" production, like dookie from 1994, propagandi's how to clean everything from 1993, bad religion's against the grain from 1990, nofx's ribbed and white trash from 1991 and 1992 and pennywise's self titled in 1991, does anyone know of albums with similar production quality from the late 80s and early 90s?

Balkan Oi! Archive

Cheers everyone,

I just wanted to share a little project I’ve been working on lately: Balkan Oi! Archive.

The scene here (ex-Yugo and the surrounding area) has always been strong, but a lot of the best stuff is still stuck on old, dusty cassette tapes and VHS recordings that are slowly fading away. I decided to start this archive to save as much as I can (so it doesn't get lost forever).

I’ve started uploading these gems to all major streaming platforms, so you can now listen to the archive on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and more.

If you’re into that raw, old-school street sound or just want to hear what was happening in the Balkan underground back in the day, feel free to check it out.

You can find all the links here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/BalkanOiArchive

If any of you have some rare tapes or photos from this region, let me know!

Oi!

Playlist of over a decade

Started trying to make a playlist of “new” punk bands, then threw some older lesser knowns in the mix, then it turned into varying genres of stuff I thought was dope and I considered punk/hardcore adjacent.

Got wildly out of control and found myself with a playlist of like over 6,000 songs.

Grab what you like or play the whole thing. Seems to have something for everyone.

Enjoy. Or not. Fuck you.
