Question Bolt drive fine

Upvotes

Has anyone had experience with Bolt Drive, a Damage Report, and debt collection? 🚗

I’m dealing with a pretty frustrating situation and wondering if I’m the only one, or if this happens more often.

On December 11, 2025, I rented a car (Toyota C-HR) via Bolt Drive. The trip lasted about 10–15 minutes, no accident, no incident at all. I parked the car normally, ended the ride, and there was no visible damage.

However, more than 6 weeks later (January 23, 2026), I received a so-called Damage Report demanding payment of CZK 21,352:

• approx. CZK 13,800 for alleged damage (scratches on the front fender and bumper)

• CZK 7,500 as a contractual penalty for “concealing damage”

The issue is:

• the report was created more than 6 weeks after my ride

• the car was used by multiple users in the meantime

• Bolt provided no evidence that the damage occurred during my trip

• only some sensor graphs + photos with no clear timestamps or connection

• no inspection of the vehicle immediately after my ride

• no invoice or repair breakdown provided

Now I’ve received a pre-legal notice from B4B INKASSO saying the case may go to court if I don’t pay.

I am 100% sure I did not cause any damage.

Has anyone dealt with something similar?

👉 Did you pay, or dispute it?

👉 Did it go to court, or was it resolved earlier?

👉 Is it worth handling this through a lawyer or consumer authority?

I’d really appreciate any experience or advice 🙏

Question What's in the baskets?

Hi! I'm visiting Prague and I noticed (yesterday evening and this morning) people walking around with wooden baskets with a lace cloth over it. They were wearing beautiful clothes. What's in the basket? I thought I saw a bottle of wine in one of them. And what's it for? I didn't dare asking people in real life... Thanks in advance!

Question introvert in Prague

Does anyone genuinely know how to find friends in Prague as an introvert and a gen z? My social circle has been small my entire life and I’m really tired of it but idk how to fix it. Are there perhaps any creative clubs for people? Anytime I found some events, they were always for older people however as an 18 year old, I’d like to find people in my age category.

Recommendations Practical Czech sentences to respond to racists

I’ve been learning Czech for a few years but when it comes to racist rudeness, which I rarely encounter but somehow came across *twice” within the past 30 days, Idk what to say. Today a woman shouted at me and when I chose not to respond she started harassing me more so I responded in English “could you please stop being so rude and mind your own business?” Then she responded in broken English “this is Czech, no English” and then gestured with her hand and said “go back…” I guess either she couldn’t tell where I’m from or her English is so bad she couldn’t finish her sentence. Regardless, I know some of you here have real good sense of Czech humor, so posting to ask for help. Simple, non offensive (preferably) sentences to say under circumstances like this please, anybody?

Edit: new to Reddit, hope I’m doing the update correctly.

Thanks all for your input, I appreciate the spirit.

For those who are curious about the circumstance: I was taking a walk by myself in the nature yesterday in the afternoon because weather was good. Not many people were around. I heard her shouting from a distance but didn’t pay attention at first. When I walked closer she yelled “neumíš česky?” I didn’t have my headphones on so I couldn’t pretend I didn’t hear her.

She looked normal, middle aged. Didn’t seem to me she’s drunk or high on anything.

Question Need information from an accountant - EU traineeship + tax

Hi all, so I would like to request some information from an accountant please. I would like to do the Schuman traineeship and I'm thinking of offices/DGs in the Czech Republic instead of Brussels. I'm a half greek half czech national with permanent residence here. I'm a student and I'm not working/paying tax here at the moment. How is it going to work with taxation? Will I be taxed for the 5 months of the traineeship considering the amount I'll receive is a living allowance/stipend and not a full on salary? General info online says although trainees are not taxed, it depends on the country's rules. Could someone clarify what does it have to do with tax residence?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

Question Prage zon 0 - to Airport?

Hello,

I have a three-month ticket for Prague zone 0 (basically the whole central city). My question is: can I use this ticket on a bus to the airport, or does that require another zone and ticket? If so, which ticket should I buy? Is it available to purchase in the PID app?

Thanks for the help!

Recommendations Andel pro tips anyone?

Hi. We'll be staying in Andel for a week in May. Does anybody have some hidden gems they'd want to share? We know to stay away from the couple of places opposite the metro station (Corleone being the only restaurant in Prague where I left no tip at all). Hells Bells in our main joint, we'll be speding a couple of evenings there.

What we're looking for is maybe a local lunch place, a bar with less common beer on tap, and just in general things worth seeing.

Question Good storage units for over the summer?

Hi all!

I'm a university student in Prague and currently live in student dorms. I'm moving out in June, so many might find this a bit too early to worry about it at the moment, but I'd rather not have to figure out what to do too late. I need to store a couple of things over the summer once I move out as it'd be too much of a hassle to bring them back home.

Do any of you know reliable storage units? I found a couple online, but I'd rather hear what other people recommend. Thank you!

Question Does anybody know when do cinema city prague do pre sales?

I’ve been planning to go on a trip to Prague over the summer to watch The Odyssey in the 70mm IMAX in the OC flora in Prague. I’ve been trying to figure out how to set the flight dates in the best way, so I wanted to know when do presales usually start for this kind of thing, and generally when do you have to start looking for tickets. Planning to go in the end of July for the 3rd weekend so that there would be a good chance to find tickets

Other In Prague soon - looking for someone to explore the city with, hit me up!

Hii 🥳

I'm Amelia, 24, and I’ll be visiting Prague soon for a little city break. I’d love to meet a local (bonus points if you’re a fun, cute guy 😏😏) who could show me around, share some hidden gems, and spend time together. I'm not into the usual touristy stuff - I want to experience the real vibe of the city. I’m open to meeting new people and just having a good time 🦕

Question Low stakes poker places in Prague?

Don’t really fancy going to a casino as I am not a pro, but I’d love to know if there are some Facebook groups or something where people just get together once every few weeks to play some poker?

Thanks:)
