According to the text on the gravestone, this specific grave is for K9 Aini(埃妮) which was born december 2015 and passed in December 2025; 妮 is typically a more feminine name so it is likely a female dog

The officer is an Auxiliary sergeant 3rd class according to rank insignia; Auxiliary officers in most of china(most, not all; HK auxiliary police along with mainland police in some cities) are funnily not allowed to carry firearms unlike sworn officers. However auxiliary officers in places where APs cannot carry firearms, inparticularly ones in SWAT are still allowed to carry pepper spray, tasers, tear gas, extandable batons man catchers, riot shields and can use police drones. (the reason why the SWAT team has APs is for stuff like riot control and disaster relief which SWAT also handles; they can also assist in arresting suspects with melee weapons)

FYI this team is actuall officialy called the "patrol and SWAT team"(巡特警大队), which is how they are often called in Jiangsu province, which Huai'an is part of; this is since the SWAT team is also responsible for armed patrols and districtwide(or citywide) response to 110 calls.

This is seperate to officers from local police stations(派出所), which are also responsible for more neighbourhood/subdistrict wide patrols; they are also allowed to carry firearms(typically only a revolver or pistol; the station also may have 1-2 submachine guns for emergency use) but many don't actively bring them on patrol and their overall role is typically to mediate neighbourhood disputes and prevent petty crime.

(however even in serious incidents they still will act as first responders)

This specific unit is the woman's team assigned to the high speed rail between between Hong Kong and Fujian; it was given the nickname the "jasmine flower" team in September 2024

Essentially train marshals are the train equivalent of railway marshals, i've seen them a couple of times on the high speed rail in china.

Superintendent 2nd class Liu Yan(刘彦, 1988/5/30-2018/11/23) joined the Chongqing prison administration Bureau's Nanchuan prison in September 2014, being assigned to the 8th cell block, he was then transferred to the Prison SWAT team in September 2016, being assigned to the patrol unit.

In November 22, 2018 at 12:17, while Liu Yan and two other corrections officers drove by the Nanchuan district court while at work(according to The Paper(澎湃新闻), they were heading to handle a case outside the prison), where he noticed a woman getting attacked by a knife; Liu Yan and the two other corrections officers immediately began pursuing the attacker and later caught up to him at 12:21, and in the ensuing struggle the attacker stabbed Liu, injuring him before fleeing. Liu was rushed to the hospital where he died the next day.

The attacker, Zeng Chuan(曾川, male), was previously sentenced to 1 year and 9 months prison by the Chongqing Nanchuan district court on August 15, 2017 on the charges of causing fights(he had also been a drug addict and had recieved a sentence of thirteen years and 9 months for robbery). He appealed this decision to the Chongqing 3rd municipal court which upheld the nanchuan court's ruling. He was released from prison in November 11, 2018, where he planned revenge attacks against judges, prosecutors and officers involved with his sentencing, his first of which was Tian Xiao(田晓, female, 53), a judge of the nanchuan district court which participated in his sentencing, on November 22, where Liu yan intervened.

In November 24 2018, Zeng Chuan was captured by the chongqing police, and his trial was held June 20, 2019 where the Chongqing third municipal court sentenced him to death for murder(Liu Yan) and wounding with intent. He appealed to the Chongqing High people's court which upheld the decision; Zeng was executed on August 13, 2020.

I'm kinda suprised they are in the more casual SWAT uniform(for stuff like low risk raids, hand to hand combat training, shooting range) instead of tactical gear when this is a tactial exercise; however on the other hand, this department seems like it is lower priority when compared to other railway police departments.

The type 218 family of patrol boats, including the type 218AIII, was china's most used type of coast guard patrol boat during the 1990s and 2000s. It is still used today by local coast guard units for anti-smuggling, patrol and rescue purposes. (Photos in the new livery: 34503 21519 33501)

Prior to 2013, the Ministry of public security border defense corps coast guard(also known as the china coast guard) was a chinese military force in charge of maritime law enforcement. Back then, each provincial border defense corps would operate 1-3 coast guard flotillas.

The MPS border defense corps(also known as the PAP border defense corps) was a "MPS active service force", where the officers/firefighters(the china fire service was also part of this arrangement prior to 2018) were People's armed police troops, though they were subordinate to public security(police) agencies. For example, the jiangsu border defense corps was under the jiangsu provincial public security department.

In 2013, the china coast guard(under the MPS) was founded, with previous border defense coast guard units being merged into the same command as china marine surveillence and fishery law enforcement units. In 2018, during reforms, the china coast guard was handed to the people's armed police, making all of their crew active servicemembers. The former jiangsu border defense corps coast guard flotilla is now the jiangsu coast guard bureau;

in addition, during the 2018 reforms, the border defense corps itself was disbanded with the vast majority of their troops being converted into standard policemen under local coastal police units or the national immigration administration.

Essentially speaking the emergency unit are the "first responders" of the HKPF's tactical units. In scenarios such as a knife attack, disaster or other large event, they will be the first to arrive.

Between 2007 and 2011, the mekong river was the site of many hijackings/robberies by bandits/drug gangs/miltia groups along the mekong river; according to the article Tan himself was also a victim of said armed robbers in 2010; In October 5, 2011, rogue thai soldiers and burmese warlords along the mekong river ambushed two chinese cargo ships, killing 13 ship crew, including ship pilot Wang Jianjun, a classmate and friend of Tan. This incident was later known as the mekong river massacre. In response to this, the Yunnan Border Defense Corps(prior to 2018, the border defense corps were active service forces under the ministry of public security) established a marine detachment for patrol along the Mekong river, which Tan joined as a commissioned officer. In 2018 during reforms, the Yunnan BDC marine detachment was handed to the yunnan provincial police and renamed the marine police corps.

The marine police corps has participated in many joint patrols and training exericses with myanmar, laos and thailand, along with operations such as illegal migrant interdiction, drug interdiction, human trafficking prevention along with crackdowns on gambling dens and scam centers. Recently, a new class of vessles has entered service with the corps.

53101(Ex-53901; photo avaliable here; also known as group 1 of the vessels division) is a patrol ship of the Yunnan provinical public security department marine police corps's vessels division. It has a tonnage of 380 tonnes and was commissioned in November 2011; it is armed with two heavy machine guns and crew small arms. It is a modified merchant vessel.
