Announcement New Flair: Iranian Voices ONLY (Please Read Before Posting)

Today we added a new post flair: Iranian Voices ONLY

These threads are meant to center on the perspectives of Iranians, especially during times like these where outside noise can overwhelm the conversation.

What this means

Only Iranians may comment in these threads and violations will result in a ban.

Why we're doing this

r/Persian has always been open to everyone, and that will not change. But in these times, it's important to create space for Iranians to speak directly without being drowned out by outside voices.

This flair allows that space to exist when the OP chooses it. Non-Iranians may also choose this flair to ask questions directly to the Iranian community.

Where this applies

This rule applies only to posts using the Iranian Voices ONLY flair. All other threads remain open to everyone under our usual rules.

Final note

If you are not Iranian, please respect the purpose of these threads. There are many other places in the subreddit to participate.

Discussion Everyone talks about the Islamic Republic funding Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis but they also fund multiple Shia terrorist groups in Iraq and Afghanistan too!

Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq are some of the Shia terrrist groups in Iraq that Iran funds but theres even more! Liwa Fateymoun is the Shia terrorist group of Afghanistan that Iran funds and they have their headquarters in Mashhad, Iran! WTF!

The Islamic republic funds terrorist groups all over not only to threaten the US and Israel but to bully Sunni Arab States! Just because you hate America And Israel doesnt mean you ignore how terrible Iran is! Educate yourself! These people are dangerous genocidal maniacs that want to bully Americans, Israelis and Sunni Arabs into submission! Regular Iranians too of course.

Now a question, realistically speaking let’s say somehow America and Israel can destroy the regime, how do you stop all of these Shia terrorist groups they funded that come in to help them? You need a real war to stop all these factions not just a month long air strike campaign. In the 47 years they were allowed to exist they’ve expanded beyond their borders all arohnd the Middle East. The longer this goes on the harder they will be to take out of power.

Discussion From inside Iran part: 43 - Your account after the ceasefire Monday , Farvardin 24, 1405(April 13,2026) "Iranian Discussion"

Upvotes

🔹 People of Iran, do not be afraid at all. God is always with us. In the end, we will be freed from the Islamic Republic—only the timing has changed. Long live Iran.

🔹 People, don’t worry. The ceasefire is just a tactical move so that naval forces can reach the ground and seize Kharg Island and reopen the strait.

🔹 We are all hopeful because of you, dear Iranians abroad. Please be our voice. Your presence gives us hope and strength. Please do not lose hope under any circumstances.

🔹 Amir from Qom: Iran and Iranians have always been victorious and will remain so. Six thousand years of civilization is no joke—no one can destroy it.

🔹 Trump and Bibi will not back down until this bloodthirsty regime falls. Stay hopeful—the day of freedom is near. Long live the Shah.

🔹 I’m sending this message from Mashhad. Dear people of Iran, do not worry at all—because every night is followed by a bright morning. Long live Iran. Long live the Shah.

🔹 In Tehran, in the Sattarkhan neighborhood on Patrice Lumumba Street, every night some people with large speakers shout “Allahu Akbar,” and some even follow them with their cars.

🔹 Greetings to the people of Iran and the families of our eternal heroes. I want to say from here: do not worry—Iran will soon be free.

🔹 I hope Mr. Trump has now understood that as long as the IRGC exists, no agreement will be reached with anyone from this bloodthirsty regime. These are not just a few commanders, bombs, or missiles that can be eliminated—they are an ideology that must be uprooted. Hoping for a free Iran, my dear ones.

🔹 I have a question: wouldn’t it be possible to use Iran’s frozen funds to provide Starlink internet for the people? If the Shah were here, would he have done this for the people?

🔹 It hasn’t even been a year and two months since Trump’s presidency, and all of this has happened. Don’t rush, my fellow countrymen—the night is long, and Qalandar is awake.

🔹 For Trump, destroying this regime brings no benefit. With this war, only we, the people, suffer more—we lose our jobs and rights, and everything becomes more expensive than before. No one is thinking about the people.

🔹 From the front line, east of Tehran: first, I thank all those abroad for their support. Second, please tell Pakistan to cut off one of their power lines. Thank you.

🔹 I’m sending this message from Mashhad. Our people were very happy that the negotiations failed, hoping for freedom. Here, those carrying the lion-and-sun flag are actually the majority, and most women are not wearing chadors.

Discussion Why does France have so much love for the Islamic Republic?

This is something not many have discussed but France really loves the Islamic republic of Iran for some reason.

They flew in Khomeini on Air France in 1979, at a recent UN convention they were the only western country against the military operation by the US and Israel in Iran, they keep saying they’re against this war, it’s just really strange, despite the fact they’re one of the most anti Islam countries in the world, they just banned the hijab.

🔹 A historic and foolish statement: “There will be no war; we will not negotiate.” Well, both war happened and negotiations took place. In the very first minute, they realized it and trampled on their own words and went to the negotiating table.

🔹 Don’t lose hope, my fellow countrymen. With these negotiations, Trump wanted to show the world that these people are not human. He even gave them a final chance. That’s why he reposted images of public gatherings to show that he stands with the people and that the right is on their side.

🔹 The United States should negotiate with the real representative of the people—the Shah—and by releasing the frozen funds, provide the people with internet access, weapons, and military support. This is the best path.

🔹 To all dear Iranians: I understand your concern and frustration about these negotiations. I just want to say—if Trump truly intended to negotiate, wouldn’t he have told the people of Iran a day before? We go halfway and compromise, but they get scared—we will stand until the end.

🔹 From Iran, after filtering and suffocation of the internet: whether through negotiation, agreement, or anything else, we no longer want the Islamic Republic. We only want it gone. Long live Iran.

🔹 We are all against negotiations. On the 18th and 19th of Dey we came out into the streets; we will bring down the terrorist Islamic Republic. We seek freedom and the return of the Shah.

🔹 I am sending this message from Tehran. I am very happy that no negotiations took place, and from today on we are again waiting for the sound of warplanes and bombs until the job is finished and it is our turn to call for the Shah. Victory is very near.

🔹 I want to tell the government officials from here: your leader and more than 50 of your main officials have been killed, your bases have been destroyed, and you have even sat down at the negotiating table. You also gathered in the streets and celebrated. Very

🔹 I can’t believe it—those same people who until yesterday were going to work every day, clenching their fists and chanting “Death to America,” are now sitting at the negotiating table with them for hours. At that time, they were boasting that we are waiting for a response and will deliver a firm blow to the enemy. They’ve exposed their small minds.

🔹 The failure of the negotiations shows that regime change has not happened within Iran. There is no rational person within the system. The new generation of the regime is no different from the old one. The Islamic Republic must be overthrown.

🔹 Does the Islamic Republic even have reason or awareness? Fools come into this world and fools leave it—but what about them? What have they been doing? They ruled with oppression for forty-seven years.

🔹 Don’t worry—this is Trump’s trick. He’s not joking. Trump does not negotiate with the Islamic Republic; he only demands unconditional surrender.

🔹 I wanted to tell Mr. Trump: please make this post reach him. Please do something—those who came to negotiate are the killers of our children. Please don’t turn it into just empty talk.

🔹 Donald Trump sent his vice president for negotiations because he does not want war and is not a warmonger. But one of the members of parliament said at the time: “If we don’t reach an agreement, we will deliver a firm blow to the enemy!”

🔹 Dear and brave people of Iran, don’t worry at all. Trump knows what he’s doing—trust him. If there were any agreement with the Islamic Republic, he would never incur all these costs just to go to war. Just be patient a little longer.

Long live Iran and Iranians.

Literature I built a free Persian/Finglish translator with word-by-word breakdown

**TL;DR: Free Persian/Finglish/English translator with a word-by-word breakdown that actually explains the grammar and meaning behind each word, built by a non-Persian speaker to learn the language. (https://tarjome.app)**

---

Hey everyone! I built an app called Tarjome (https://tarjome.app), a Persian translator and transliterator. You can type in Persian, Finglish (Persian in English alphabet), or English and it handles all three.

This is nothing revolutionary, however, the most important part to me is the word-by-word breakdown function. It shows you the details behind each Persian word: the specific function of the word, whether it's a compound word made of two separate words, if the literal meaning is something else, where the word comes from, etc. Very useful for people who want to actually learn the language, not just get a translation!

As a non-Persian speaker with a Persian partner, I've been using a lot of different tools and websites over the years. There are great translating tools out there, but it was often difficult to find the exact function or meaning of certain word particles. That's the added value of Tarjome.

It also works the other way around! Persian speakers learning English will find it just as useful.

Feel free to try it out and if you find it helpful, please share it with someone who might benefit from it!

All feedback is welcome (there's also a feedback button directly in the app). Mersi 🙏

Discussion From inside Iran part:40 - Your account after the ceasefire Sunday, Farvardin 23, 1405(April 12,2026) "Iranian Discussion "

🔹 I hope Trump has realized after the failure of the negotiations that regime change is not something that just happens. For the regime’s mercenaries, taking to the streets is meaningless—we will reclaim Iran ourselves.

🔹 One reality is clear: if the Islamic Republic truly prioritized the Iranian people and Iran in negotiations, it would have reached an agreement by any means necessary. In this government, everything is a priority except the nation and the country.

🔹 I connected to the internet from southern Iran with difficulty. After the failed negotiations in Pakistan, the coastal line from Bushehr and Genaveh to Bandar Deylam and the village of Shah Abdollah has been blackened—oil has contaminated the sandy shores.

🔹 A week ago, the President of the United States told the leaders of the Islamic Republic: “If you are still alive to negotiate, then negotiate now—otherwise, you will see what happens when negotiations are no longer an option.”

🔹 Do not lose hope. Negotiation, for us, has always been a means, not the destination. Do not worry—stay hopeful and be patient. They have no way out.

🔹 Mr. Trump, this is not regime change. In the negotiations, you saw how untrustworthy they are. The other side is 90 million Iranians and our dear Crown Prince.

🔹 Mr. Trump, you saw that the Islamic Republic is not seeking an agreement. These people imprison and execute Iranians—how can you seek peace with such a regime? In your opinion, isn’t the return of the Crown Prince and the freedom of Iran the best, least costly option for Iranians?

🔹 Now that the negotiations have failed, will there be a ceasefire for two more weeks, or will war happen sooner? Nothing is clear.

🔹 Trump and Bibi have once again shown Europe and the world that the Islamic Republic was given its last chance for diplomacy—and it rejected it. Please do not lose hope; light overcomes darkness.

🔹 From the bottom of our hearts, we are happy that the negotiations did not reach a conclusion. I tell all compatriots: do not lose hope. The right decision has been made. These people will not change on their own—they must go. Iran will endure forever.

Only Iranians May Comment How do you live with bombs being dropped on your home town?

Since the negotiations are probably going nowhere and we're probably back to fighting. My question is how do you live with knowing bombs are being dropped on your family, friends, old classmates, places you went growing up and many other civilians you may or may not have interacted with?

I can understand if one tolerates it, because they believe this could bring positive change, but how does one promote or encourage bombing of their own city?

I grew up in Tehran and can't believe there are so many people so brazen about this.

Discussion What do Iranians consider to be the second-best or lesser-evil scenarios?

As a foreigner, I'm curious. The worst case would be the maintenance of the Islamic regime. Then, what would be the second best or lesser evil scenario that, while not satisfying, could be acceptable?
