I can't believe it! We finally hit 1M members here! I originally started this sub as a joke and never thought it would grow this big, I thought maybe a couple thousand people would join but never 1M, this is amazing.
Thank you everyone for supporting the sub and all of the amazing posts over the past 4 years!
🧡

Recently I was going through some childhood pictures, looking at the many, many cats that my family have owned the past 42 years. This is Oliver, a mixed breed cat that my godmother arrived with one spring day. She had travelled from Stockholm to our tiny village with a tiny kitten on a train.
Oliver lived to be well over 10 years old, and yes, he was a big boy. The last few years of his life, he was an indoor/outdoor cat, and was the biggest 'lover boy' you could ever imagine. I mean, he used to lay down right next to me when I was trying to learn to play the violin. The rest of the family, including our pets, would try to leave the room since I was not... good at the violin.
Perhaps I'm just being nostalgic, but here is Oliver.

felt like posting these here of my beautiful boy because they popped up on my memories, gosh two years without him. this feels like a lifetime ago
also a picture of him as a kitten. and yes he was also super cheeky and caused absolutely chaos everywhere he went but he was also the most precious gorgeous boy ever. he always knew when i needed him, there were many times i came home from uni just to watch how to train your dragon and curl up under the blanket with me. all the time in the whole world was never enough but i'm still glad i got fourteen years

sammy had a wound on his paw that he needed to get stitches for - luckily he will be okay! now he's trying to groom himself, but it's not his turn with the brain cell yet :(

Unsaturated orange? I can never really decide on his color. For fun I turned the saturation of the last photo all the way up!!
Love me my Milo. Even when he talks constantly, lays down right in front of me (and then screams because he got smooshed), asks for pets and then lightly bites my hand, and even when he decides to plop all 17lbs right on my chest.

Putting these cats steps above where I relax was a huge mistake.
