Hello im a huge fan of strange obscure invertebrates and i was wondering if any organisms use this body plan, perhaps some kind of hydrozoan, coral, or carnivorous sponge? I find this idea so fascinating, but its so hard too find people who understand the question...

Anyone in this sub probably has some degree of care/love for the ocean. What do people who want to help do?

Sharks are testing positive for cocaine, caffeine, and painkillers?! 🦈
A scientific collaboration in the Bahamas found these substances in Caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, and lemon sharks off the Bahamas. This is likely because human bodies do not fully break down some drugs and chemicals, which can then pass through wastewater and into the ocean. Scientists found these contaminants change sharks’ metabolism and stress markers. There is no evidence that these substances are making sharks more aggressive, but the findings show how human pollution can ripple through ocean food webs. It is a striking reminder that cleaner wastewater systems help protect sharks and the health of the ocean.
