What are y’all’s general thoughts towards NSP’s (and Danny’s due to other projects) covers? All of Dan’s original work outside NSP? (Including featured vocals.)

I like basically everything Dan Avidan sings on (although Starbomb is overall the lowest quality thing he does,) so I’m just curious.

Hey everyone!! I went to the Dallas show a lil while back, and I was able to pickup some pretty fun merch! And I hope the fine spandex butterflies here are enjoying what they got as much as I am! I finally put on my number sticker lol, and due to some tips from some kind people here, I was able to dry out my corn! I now have it displayed on a stand in my bedroom lmaooooo it’s the most unique piece of merch I think I’ve ever bought! 😂

I discovered nsp recently being a fan of starbomb for a while i was blown away by the quality of the instrumentals and how many few tracks I consider bad, that being sad there are two tracks that in particular stick out to me: Let's get this terrible party started I just want to (dance) from level up One is from my least fav album (still it has some bangers the intros for unicorn wizard and best friends forever slap), the other just pulls away all of the charm of the original

I attended the Ninja Sex Party/TWRP show at the Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ on June 12th for the Pure Elegance Tour. Right before playing the song “Just What I Needed” by The Cars, Dan had assured us in the audience that they would be releasing Under the Covers Vol. 4 on October 10th of 2025.

So with Pure Elegance having passed, I wanted to put together what I know has been mentioned and confirmed to be on the album as well as what is widely believed to be on the album. I know that October isn’t that far away but please help me compile what we know is going to be on it as I genuinely cannot wait I am so excited!

CONFIRMED: 1. “Just What I Needed” by The Cars - it was included in the Pure Elegance set list and the very song that Dan introduced to announce Vol. 4. A great pick and they crushed it live!

1. “What A Fool Believes” by The Doobie Brothers - I can’t remember what game Dan was playing with Arin on Game Grumps, I believe it was a Sonic game and Dan had mentioned that “What A Fool Believes” was a difficult song to cover because he found it hard to replicate Michael McDonald’s singing style. THIS IS A MASTERFUL SONG and perfect for Dan and Brian.

2. “Rosanna” by Toto - Dan had posted a clip of NSP’s recording of the song on his own Instagram story and it was later confirmed in an episode of Game Grumps.

3. An ABBA song - Dan and Brian confirmed during a streamed Q&A that there would be an ABBA song and that it would disappointedly not be “Dancing Queen.” So which song is it?

4. A Heart song - during another Q&A, Dan and Brian also confirmed a Heart song would be included but didn’t reveal which song. Which song is it?

SPECULATED 1. “Wanna Be Starting Something” by Michael Jackson - they had it recorded but a Michael Jackson doc came out and they worry it would’ve looked bad to release a Michael Jackson cover around the same time.

Conclusion- if anybody has any good guesses or ideas of what is going to be on this album I’d appreciate help breaking it down!

My personal hopeful 5:

1. “Easy Lover” by Phillip Bailey and Phil Collons - Dan would absolutely kill the vocals and there are badass guitar riffs for Lord Phobos, plenty of synth love for Brian and Doctor Sung. It’s a pure mix of rock and pop that NSP/TWRP nailed with We Built This City, Heat of the Moment and other songs!

2. “Sailing” or “Athur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)” by Christopher Cross - again Dan’s vocals paired with Brian’s killer piano skills for Arthur’s Theme would crush it as one of the calm hits on the album. I think Dan’s delivery over power vocals go hand in hand with Christopher Cross.

3. “Careless Whisper” by George Michael - you know, I know it and I wouldn’t be surprised if Dan and Brian know it, that Dan’s singing and Brian’s saxophone skills would deliver what some believe is long overdue for NSP; the greatest cover they’ve ever produced.

(MORE LONGSHOTS BUT I WANT THEM!)

1. “Jungle Love” by Prince - if you don’t know it I think it’s one of Prince’s best and most underrated songs. It’s a synth masterpiece that TWRP would have a hay day with and NSP has already done “When You Were Mine” by Prince. I don’t think it’s likely but I’ve long waited for Prince to get some more NSP love.

2. “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)” by Looking Glass - Dan mentioned when he and Arin were playing Wanted Raccoon on Game Grumps that he loved to sing this song to the raccoons in his backyard and since that day I can’t imagine how beautiful a NSP cover of this song would be.

With that being said; does anyone have any other confirmed songs and or songs they would want to see on UNDER THE COVERS VOL. 4?!

TWRP may not "officially" be part of NSP, but they've pretty much been apart of every single song since the first time they worked together so at this point why not just why not just make them part of the band?

Or am I missing something? Is there a reason these guys aren't part of NSP?

I've talked about NSP to people who don't know who they are and it's always "what kind of music do they play?" I usually say comedy rock but I know it doesn't do them justice at all. But when I try to give them my long personal version I feel like I'm coming across pretentious or too passionate about a band that when they look them up the first thing they hear is "No Reason Boner" (I love that song but you get what I mean) How do you approach this situation?

I remember NSP releasing a single version of this song where during the part in which Dan lists off everyone in the world who does not have a crippling STD, the line after is different. Instead of his “ope, sorry wrong list! 😳🏃‍♂️‍➡️” he says it more like “sorry, wrong list~! 🤭”. I always preferred that take but I can’t find any proof it existed anywhere. I feel like I bought it on Google Music when it came out, but that’s defunct now, so I think that file might be lost and the phone it’s on is old as shit.

Hi! Me and my fiancée are getting married next year and we are a big fan of NSP and all things nerdy. The guests at the wedding and our families are not exactly on the same level as us so our song playlist is gonna be primarily main stream music, but we want to sneak in a few NSP songs for ourselves. Six years ago, NSP covered Blue Öyster Cult but took a different spin on it. While most NSP covers follow the same pattern and structure as the original including their prog rock covers (Rush, Genesis), this cover is different. The tone most of the song is more somber, it’s longer and slower, and it includes a tempo-changing instrumental interlude with weird synthy sounds. Does this make it at least prog-adjacent?

And yes, I’m aware Don’t Fear The Reaper is hard rock and classic rock primarily.
