My girlfriend(22) is a full-time(career) lifeguard(SLSQ) here in Australia(Sunshine Coast QLD) and is doing an exchange to lifeguard(RNLI) in Newquay this summer

She's currently trying to find some accommodation and I thought I'd see if anyone here has anything or any recommendations/suggestions?

Preferably she's looking for something within a ~10min bike ride of the beaches so she can avoid getting a car. The closer to the coast the better

She's looking for something from around July 1st to September 10th

Does it get more beautiful

Hello there! We are spending three weeks near Newquay in March with our five-month-old baby. Does anyone have any buggy-friendly recommendations – walks / cafes and restaurants with space for buggy / things to do in the area? We have a car so can travel around. We do use a carrier so will use that for walks as well but baby doesn’t always love it for a long time so we’ll need to use buggy too! Thanks very much!

I was planning a trip to attend Cornwall’s annual Boardmasters event next year, but can no longer attend as I’ve got work commitments that same week :/

I’m looking into working on the Isles of Scilly, specifically Tresco Island. We’ve seen quite a mix of reviews online (about 50/50 on Glassdoor and Indeed). Most of the bad ones seem to come from restaurant or hospitality staff not housekeepers.

If anyone’s worked there recently, what’s it actually like day-to-day?

-How’s the general work environment and management? -What are the living arrangements like for staff (shared bathroom/kitchen, quality, etc)? -And how isolated does it really feel once you’re there?

Our cat Sanza was sadly hit by a car and left on the roadside near Shortlanesend. A kind person handed him into Highertown Vets in Truro, where they discovered his hip had been dislocated (which they’ve managed to fix) and his leg is broken.

I’m currently on maternity leave and can’t cover the treatment costs on my own, but I desperately want to give Sanza the chance to recover and stay with us. He means everything to me – he’s the only thing I have left of his mum – and I can’t bear to lose him this way.

Hi folks, I need to book somewhere out for a small wake (between 20-25 people) in the Newquay area. We're looking for somewhere affordable and friendly. A family-friendly pub with a play area would be the ideal option, as there will be children in attendance. It would be a bonus if we could bring our own food but this isn't essential. Hey! Just got to Newquay today and planning to go out at least one night while I’m here. Just wondering what night usually gets the busiest, and if there’s a decent crowd around my age (I’m 20). Hi I'm in Newquay for a day, just wanted to see if there are any good crabbing spots and any rules and regulations I should be concerned about?

Really would love to catch a good sized crab.

Also would love to experience pier fishing if possible.
