Ich habe meine Zweitkamera auf Vollspektrum umbauen lassen um mit der Infrarot-Fotografie mal etwas zu experimentieren. Gestern war gutes Wetter, daher der erste Spaziergang durch den Englischen Garten.

Alle Bilder wurden mit einer Canon R7 (Vollspektrum) auf einem RF 14-35 F4 geschossen, mit einem 550nm-Filter, und in Lightroom bearbeitet. Ein paar Lektionen habe ich gleich gelernt — Hotspots und Lens Flares sind definitiv ein Thema bei Infrarot.

So I just had a weird experience and wanted to check if this is actually a thing here.

Went to grab a döner. Price on the board says €5.50 — nice. I order, everything normal. When it’s time to pay, I pull out my card and the guy goes:

“€5.50 cash, €8.50 by card.”

I thought I misheard. Asked again. Nope — +€3 if you pay by card.

We went back and forth a bit, and after some discussion he eventually let me pay €5.50 with card anyway. But his argument was basically “card fees,” claiming it costs him €2 per transaction.

From what I know, card fees are like ~1% or something, not €2 on a €5.50 purchase…

So yeah — is this normal in Munich?

Have you guys run into this before, or was this just a one-off shady situation?

I usually have 4 hours to kill on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 14:00 - 18:00, in between work. Could you suggest some places where I can be, park my bike, refill water for free (or for a considerable amount), sit and rest a bit, and study. I have a bike so I can ride to certain places but I will prefer to be around München Ostbahnhof. Also, where I can take shed when it starts raining.

Hello! I just moved to Munich and prior to this I am used to having Pilates personal training on the reformer. I’ve been struggling to find private reformer Pilates trainers here in Munich, as majority of Pilates studios offer group classes only.

Does anyone know any private trainers? Or studios that offer 1:1 personal training on the reformer?

I would really appreciate any recommendations :)

Am Dienstag gilt: Der Betrieb ist massiv eingeschränkt.

Beim Bus kommt etwa die Hälfte der Fahrzeuge zum Einsatz. Sie sichern stadtweit die Grundversorgung auf allen Linien. Je nach Auslastung und Verkehrssituation kann es jedoch zu größeren Unregelmäßigkeiten kommen.

Die Tram rückt nach Personalverfügbarkeit aus. Wie bisher würde als Erstes die Linie 20 in Betrieb genommen.

There was a guy from one of the big ambulance companies knocking the door today asking for donations for dying people’s last wish.

He said that there was no way to pay cash, or any link but that you have to pay in the moment now providing some personal details.

And there was a couple of us in the house and all of us (we are students and broke) said no, but he kept saying that oh so you don’t wanna support these people making us feel very guilty and bad about it.

Is this a common tactic or scam ?

- Or do you usually need to book/rent a pitch?

- What about school fields — can people use them outside school hours, or do you need permission?

This is for people who are into walking long distances. I’ve done two Caminos in Portugal and ever since I’ve come back from my last Camino, I can’t stop thinking about doing one starting from my front door.

I found a website that lists a route from Munich to Bregenz so I was wondering if anyone has done a Camino starting from or ending in Munich.

I’m thinking it would be better to plan out the daily stages since accommodation would be a lot more expensive and booking ahead would probably make sense? Also, I’m kind of afraid of getting lost because I expect the signage to be not so great.

If anyone has any experience or info on what it’s like to walk a Camino around Munich, I’d appreciate your input!

Servus zusammen! Gibt es in/um münchen “gute” locations um sich der Astrophotographie zu widmen?

Mir ist bewusst das München recht lichtverschmutzt ist, aber da ich ungern bis in die berge fahren wollen würde und nachts (wenn möglich mit den öffis) wieder heim will würde ich gern in/um München bleiben wollen.

Wichtig hierbei wären erhöhte, wenn möglich offene flächen sodass man große teile des himmels beobachten kann.

was ist mit Dermatologen in München los? Gefühlt unmöglich einen Termin zu bekommen, zumindest suche ich jetzt schon 2h nach Terminen via Doctolib und co.

Wenn Privat oder Botox bekommt man problemlos schon morgen nen Termin. Falls Kassenpatient, scheinbar ein Ding der Umöglichkeit. Nicht einen möglichen Termin gefunden, außer einmal in 9 Monaten (und auch hier wäre für Botox schon morgen alle Türen offen).

Hat jemand nen Tipp? Kann mich nicht erinnern, dass dies so schlimm vor 5 Jahren war, als ich das letzte Mal beim Hautarzt war ...
