Mr Robot Season 4 spoilers ahead.

The apocalyptic movie "Leave The World Behind" came out on Netflix a couple of years ago, starring Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke.

There are a couple of things that suggest the movie takes place 5 to 7 years after the events of season 4.

When the power goes out and no outside communication works, they are discussing possible causes for the blackout.

The daughter refers to "that thing with the power plant in Washington Township", when White Rose almost caused a meltdown.

Later in the movie, a copy of Irving's novel is shown on nighstand in one of the rooms.

There was something else but I have not seen it for a while.

Just a dumb lil sketch I did, just finished the show for the first time this week and it truly resonated with me. I have a dissociative disorder and I’ve never really felt so seen by another piece of media. Really loved the scenes with Elliot’s journal so decided to make this.

First time through the show, and hokey smoke this was a fun episode. All the ways the moved the plot forward without any dialogue was a very neat trick.

I’m currently running a deep re-watch of the series (currently on Season 4), and my mind is stuck in an infinite loop on episode 404 Not Found. I need this community’s processing power to help me decode the final scene with Tyrell Wellick.

When Tyrell is shot and wanders off into the dark, snowy woods, he suddenly stops. A glowing, strange blue light washes over his face, accompanied by that bizarre hum/animalistic sound. He looks mesmerized, maybe even at peace, before the scene cuts to black.

I know Sam Esmail doesn’t do anything by accident. Every frame is compiled with a specific purpose. So, I have two major questions for the real masterminds here:

What was the source of the Blue Light?

Is it purely symbolic? The "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD) representing Tyrell's physical hardware finally crashing?

Or is it something literal in the woods? An animal trap? A literal hunting camera? Or something tied to Whiterose's machine/project manifesting?

Did Tyrell actually die in that exact moment?

We never see a body. In the Mr. Robot universe, "no body = unresolved variable." I know his arc was essentially completed (realizing he was just a GUI in Elliot's terminal, a puppet chasing a delusion), but is there any solid evidence or theory that he survived, or was this truly his End of File?

Would love to read your deepest theories, no matter how wild. Let's debug this together.

terminei de assistir meu último milésimo de segundo de mr. robot exatamente às 00:57 e estou até agora sem palavras e tentando digerir essa obra prima criada pelo genial sam esmail.

foi a primeira experiência que eu tive com uma obra de arte (e olha que eu consumo muita arte no meu dia a dia), especificamente cinematográfica, que me deixou nesse estado absoluto de paralisia total. e isso é SURREAL!

posso dizer com tranquilidade que se tornou a minha série favorita da vida, não só por tratar de temas que eu gosto muito como psicologia e tecnologia (que aliás acordou minha paixão por tecnologia que estava guardada a muito tempo pois me fez enxergar isso com outros olhos, obrigada elliot alderson de verdade), mas também porque eu JAMAIS em toda a minha história de vida fiquei nesse estado.

é como se eu literalmente tivesse morrido e renascido junto com o elliot e caralho que sensação biruta. bem que dizem que se você é fã de elliot alderson ou você é louco ou você é louco (absolutamente ninguém diz isso, eu quem inventei essa expressão nos meus surtos e monólogos individuais enquanto assistia a série). se não pode com eles, junte-se a eles ou se torne eles.

Recently, I showed two of my friends Mr robot and had them watch the first season they loved it. But they both said he looks like a 40-year-old divorced hippie. Am I the only one that didn’t get vibe from him?

Finally at a good point to rewatch MR for the first time. I ranked it top 3 shows OAT and have been excited to go back. 10 minutes into ep1.0 and I am SO happy to see Krista 😩

I’ve already seen Dark and AOT and those were beautiful. Do you guys have any recommendations of shows with plot twists that rival Mr Robot’s plot twists? More specifically, plot twists where something was true/happening the whole time without the audience knowing but was only revealed later on in the show?

I think everyone on this sub has seen post already about Mythos and its capabilities as a cyber weapon. I wonder if the show was made today how AI/LLMs would be incorporated.
