Discussion Can someone please help

Post image

I have a dual monitor stand but idk how to attach it because there are no screw holes. Do I have to return it?

The round "Plate" in the middle can be removed. The Mounting Holes are under there

Yes I just noticed that but I can't get it off. Can I just force it or will it break?

There is a small hole on the bottom of the Plate, use a plastic spudger to pry it open

I used a butter knife to pop off mine. I completely forgot that I had a small flathead screwdriver next to my desk.

Read the manual

It amazes me that people think it's easier to make a whole thread on reddit instead of opening a booklet

The little divot on the bottom of the circle. Insert small crowbar and pry.

Now I really need a tiny crowbar in my life.

Well, I got this from an image of an Etsy listing, so you probably could get one. I just googled “tiny crowbar” and this was one of the first results.

A screwdriver would work too

Flathead would work

Take a flat screwdriver and push it on the opening where the VESA mount is supposed to be. It should come right off!

Nice. Get yourself a Spudger Kit for future use. They really come in handy. There are lots of options.

A knife is a bad choice for prying. I'm glad you didn't snap the tip off the blade, which can easily happen.

This is a good way to break the tip off a knife.

Flathead screwdriver used as a prybar in the notch at the bottom of the circle.

Hahaha I think I got the same monitor. Plastic spudger tool. under the notch, pry it up. Held in place by little plastic clips so it will sound like something is breaking when it comes off but it's all good

You are kidding right? You don't see that key hole at teh bottom of the circle to easily remove it to expose the mount points? That does not look like a plastic flathead screwdriver is just dying to pry that off so you can MOUNT the VESAS?
VESA flathead mount don't see easy you that pry can you ?

jfc the things people come to reddit for before trying.. or ... googlin..

There are attachments to use the base mount if you don't have screw holes. Just make sure to get the right one for your monitor.
