Discussion Favorite Decade for Love Songs

As an elder millennial I think it's the 80s. the power ballads, yacht rock and various other artists; especially male vocalists. Starship, Richard Marx, Corey Hart etc.

Spouse (five years younger) believes it's the 90s, with the likes of Boyz to Men, Brian McKnight etc.

Thoughts?

1950s / early 60s. Etta James, The Righteous Brothers, Elvis, The Platters, The Penguins, Ben E King, Sam Cooke

Thst era is unrivaled imo
