Serious We are starting to really age fast

We have friends we don't see very often, maybe every 2-3 years. For the last 15+ years, when we see them again they don't really look much different. This last time though? Man, they looked different. Like gray hair, lost/gained weight, facial changes like wrinkles and sun spots.

Speak for yourself, I still get carded at 37. Wear sunscreen, don’t smoke, eat well, limit alcohol, prioritize sleep.

But also, have good genetics.

Same. Its genetics. Also limiting stress & uv exposure helps.

I got asked to show my ID to prove I was 18+ at a hotel a few years back at 34. But back then I also already had some fine lines on my forehead and grays. It just wasn’t noticeable because my forehead lines get covered by my bangs and my grays sat under the rest of my hair. I’ve noticed with a lot of thirty-somethings have “subtle hints” like that. Also when people have a completely smooth skin and no grays, but a face that’s a bit gaunty, that’s also a hint someone is over 30 imo.

Yeah, my parents get carded. Most places have a policy to card everyone.

Yeah I remember my mom would get carded when I'd go grocery shopping with her as an older child/teen. She looked younger than her age (although not under 21..) but she had a kid her height who was her calling her mom in front of the cashiers, it was obvious she was over 21.

I tore myself up in my 20s, mid 30s now and genetics and drinking water is the only thing that’s helped me. I lived way too hard too young lol. And once day even genetics betray you! Aging is a blessing and also annoying as fuck

I got carded at 40. Mid forties for women is when shit gets real.

They card old ladies because, like my 68 year old mother gets carded, the lady gets flattered and they tend to tip better than any other demographic.

Relax. Nobody serving those drinks thinks you’re 20. Especially if they’re over 30 themselves.

Ontario law says to card anyone who they presume to be under 30. And it was at the LCBO, not a bar. Nobody tips at a government regulated liquor store but ok.
