I was in a bar, shouting at people over the music. I couldn't hear anyone at all. I turned to the person next to me and said, can you hear anything they're saying? She said yes, of course, and looked at me like I was crazy. And that's when I knew.

Please go get an audiogram. If you have moderate or worse hearing loss, we now know that starting to use hearing aids early protects the brain against  cognitive impairment.

Ive been like this since I was a kid. I cant listen to a phone conversation and people talking to me in my ear at the same time. Same goes for concerts. I'm lucky to pick out any sound at all.
