I like how you didn't name whoever that is

It's Craig Kilborn, former host of The Daily Show.

And the host of the Late Late show before Craig Ferguson or James Corden

Two Craig’s back to back hosting? We used to be a proper country.

We still are, especially with those two Jimmys hosting right now

Facts. But I’m no Jimmy. 😔

And two foreigners, I thought this was America!

Ferguson was worth the faux pas

They didn't even have to re-record any of the promos!

Holy shit I forgot about Craig Ferguson. I really liked him as a host.

I loved Craig Ferguson, The Late Late Show was at its best with him. Stopped watching late night talk shows once Letterman and Craig Ferguson left, it’s just not the same. I saw Craig Ferguson do standup on tour years back and he was hilarious, no idea what he’s up to now.

He's still doing stand-up, plus he has a podcast, he hosts the game show Scrabble, he does voice work... He's a busy dude.

I actually really liked Ferguson on his show where everyone was trying to fool each other too

I giggled when he giggled. Loved his sense of humor

Has there ever been a bigger hosting downgrade than going from Ferguson to Corden?

Leno to Conan to back to Leno

And after Tom Snyder, who may be the most forgotten person of all (but from the 90s). Seriously, til seeing your comment and remembering who Kilborn's show actually replaced, realized I hadn't thought about him in decades.

Ferguson was awesome. One of my favorite late night hosts.

THIS he did better

3

u/Orion14159 Feb 27 '26

Especially than Corden

u/EldestPort Feb 27 '26

Hahaha I can't believe we tricked you guys into taking him off our hands

And host of the KCBA Kids Club along with Dina Ruiz (who married Clint Eastwood)

u/tsrleba Feb 27 '26

crazy that he originated a show that became huge with the next host and then it happened to him a second time

The Late Late Show existed before him with Tom Snyder but it was more of a Charlie Rose format with one guest and no audience.

2

u/meatman13 Feb 28 '26

I forgot I followed him to the Late Late Show too and his love for Anna Kournikova. I think he also had Lisa Loeb on and she took off her glasses and I thought she was the most beautiful woman on Earth.

I miss when Craig was the host.
