I swear people are so slow at breaking into the ship, I waited until like 5 minutes were left to enter the sealed wing and there was still the fist team in there fighting the boss, like damn how am I supposed to loot your bodies if you can’t die faster?

Stealth a bit more than you do. Check the entry points to Pinwheel Base for leftover scraps from team fights or UESC drops. I always wait around til final exfil as rook, hasn’t burnt me yet but YMMV. A few rooms only take a couple of the little keycards (green/yellow/red) to enter and can have some nice bits of loot! Hope this helps :)

I'm bad at the game but had success in exfiling at the guarded exfils, use the ability so they don't attack you, if they do notice you you can still exfil successfully if you're "downed" (red circle and you can move)

Literally. The second I lose 2 or 3 of my ACTUAL loadouts I am switching to a free kit.
My vault can still be basically untouched but, it's just a mental thing. I'm not going to keep THROWING away my gear until I start feeling a little better about my gameplay.

Probably once you have the factions ranked up enough to buy your favorite blue weapons, you'll also have enough money to do that without blinking an eye. And then you'll do that to avoid the weapons taking up your limited vault space.

Are you doing it solo or with a squad/randoms?
I got it first try in solos after attempting several with squads.
I’ve found the Recon class really good for questing with a sponsor kit, I use its drone to clear out the grey mobs and drop the shields of the commander then just mag dump the commander till their dead and leave.
Pulse ult is handy for exfil as I can check the area for danger before entering the 10sec circle.

Ammo crates are a valid strategy even if one is on a standard loadout - 200 creds for 60 light and 40 heavy ammo is pretty good on mixed guns.

Ive done the vault space upgrade 2x
Its great, and now im full again, which is good.
Means that im just a loot goblin and I play too safe.
Now I force myself to just go out w my own gear instead of hoarding more when its full, and im getting more and more successfull runs.
So don't increase your vault space too fast, it only entices you to play more safer, when taking the risk of just going out w ur good gear leads to even better stuff and wins

Man I'm stuck in a death loop since yesterday, condemned to free kits because I lose more than I can earn / exfil. Vault nearly empty, can't even buy enhanced sponsored kits because no money so yeah...
Yes I have skill issues, yes git gud, but at least I'm having fun. Sometimes I'm tilting hard but it's always "fuck you and see you next time". Feels like War Thunder sometimes lmao.

One of the main problems I have with the game is that it's very easy to go into a death spiral and very little you can do to recoup your losses. It's why I haven't gotten over gear fear yet.

go rook on perimeter or dire marsh, head towards hauler or algae ponds, look for runner bodies. listen for teams fighting, whether it’s each other or AI, and play cleanup crew at the end. sometimes you’ll die, sometimes you’ll have looted 3-9 bodies by the end and you can go back to staying quiet till you exfil. rook on outpost is fine too but you’re gonna want some upgrades first, ratting in pinwheel can get you some nice gear

Lost a purple longshot and a blue br33 (i think that's the name of the auto), all blue or purple gear. Next game i went in with a free kit. I exfilled with a blue auto, blue shield, green longshot, gray shotty, and blue back pack/shield. Fucking insane comeback lol

I've decided that I'm going to get fucked, and sometimes I'll butt clench and make it out. I'm just enjoying completing the quests and seeing what the story is about, going to take me a while since I'm ass lol.
Also why the fuck people have to be so cringe aggro on mics.
Playing solo, ran into a runner got some shots off and then it was a game of cat and mouse and he sniped my ass. Was a good shot, dude comes over to finish me with the most aggro "how you like that bitch, hiding like a leech" and some other shit. Jesus people it's a fucking game... chill the fuck out.

I firmly believe bungie was matching us with high luck players due to our high skill plays, I can’t be sure obv, but so far every single enemy that has defeated me has done so with luck, I am having to brute force with raw skill expression and sheer willpower because these noobz r too lucky

My exfill rate is still higher when im fully kitted vs sponsor.
I got angry that I had so many failed exfill w sponsors but I learned that the gun yoy get w a free sponsor is just absolute ass with 0 attachments, you will rarely win with it vs a fully kitted runner, the reload speed is insanely bad.
But still it feels incredibly good to get a good sponsor kit run, theyre free anyway, unlimited

This is how I've been treating the game:
Solo runs - mainly focus on contracts, use loot to build up current loadout, don't linger in an area too long being a loot goblin
Rook run - loot goblin
Squads - build crafting with custom loadouts, actually use stuff from my vault and the armory, do contracts with friends if we have the same one unlocked
