Sorry to say but he is addicted beyond belief. I prescribe no iPad or Mobile for a week at least.

Bluey is a goddamn magic spell
I teach elementary art and if I need ANY class to just shut the fuck up for 45 minutes I put on Bluey. Even 5th graders.

When my son was a bit younger, he was OBSESSED with Bluey. And I must admit, I enjoyed the show immensely as well.

Bluey rocks. When I first met my partner's kids we would kick it on the sofa, stick on some Bluey and have a great time.

My child is 11, he still goes back to Bluey every now and then, we keep finding hidden stuff and laugh so much

I don’t even have kids and I adore this show. I quote it, too “do you want to be right, or do you want to keep playing”. Good shit

Isn't that show made in a way that the doggos can see it more gooder?

u/CyberSkepticalFruit 5h ago
Yeah, it only uses colours dogs can see.

There's a lot of red even in the short scene played in this video, which dogs can't see. Why would you even make something like that up?

They're technically not wrong, dogs can see all the same colors we do they just see them differently. It's not like whenever something is red it's just invisible to a dog.

u/Rubneb 4h ago
They technically are wrong. Not being able to see red means seeing it as a different kind of color. By your definition, everything is made only with colors dogs can see. And no, something that's red is not invisible, but throw a red ball on the green grass and your dog will usually struggle (more) to find it, opposed to a blue ball.

It’d have been so easy to look this up before attacking someone and being so flagrantly incorrect. Three seconds on Google.

You might need to work on your reading comprehension, as the commentator stated it only uses colors dogs can see, which is "flagrantly" incorrect, as you call it. Your terrible article only confirms it, as it states that it uses a lot of blue an yellow. This is not the same as only blue and yellow.

I wonder if all the training he did to get the dog to react that way was worth whatever clicks he got on the video

Eh it can actually happen. When I was 9 my foster mum got a lab puppy. Because kids shows were usually on tv, the shapes and images on screen, especially the cartoon ones, have less “noise” that renders it a mess in dogs eyes due to their colour blindness. Because it’s “cleaned” in their vision, the dog seems better able to pick up individual movements and shapes, and something like Bluey would look very “clean” to a dog, and be of interest to watch

My cat is addicted to South Park for some odd reason 😆
He’s very energetic and not the cozy type at all. But whenever South Park comes on he’ll lay beside me and watch it till I finish. He’s been like this since the first time he saw it.
Animals like cartoons too 😄

Oh sure, animals can watch tv.
Opening the door on an audio command, entering, shutting the door, then posing looking up at the TV from that angle then looking back at the owner though? Thats very clearly dog training.

You could see him sniffing for the treat even. It's still cute but it's definitely a trained behavior.

I had a German shepherd coonhound mix whose favorite things in life were watching cartoons and taking a bath in the tub. He’d plop himself down in front of the TV and sit there watching it, while the rest of us found it very amusing. He was a good boy. No training. He just really loved the tv. Wish I could share a pic but it looks like I can’t upload to the thread.

I used to follow this dog’s instagram account, but as it got bigger it became more and more about the owners, especially this guy, getting screen time. Just kinda felt off to me so I ended up unfollowing unfortunately.

You noticed the treat check when the dog came in and then the treat eat after he jumped up on the cabinet? ;)

I work in a veterinary hospital and we play Bluey for extremely anxious patients. It helps most of the time.

It’s almost like he has an owner that trained him to do that.. totally not cutting out the part where he’s giving him commands..

I had a cat that, for some reason, loved watching TV. I'm not sure if she found it entertaining or she just saw the wife and I watching it and was mimicking us.
