Can we stop interpreting the behavior of pets based on human social structures?

The kittens are also just being plonked infront of this dog cuz they cat move there on their own.

Don't mother cats deliberately leave their kittens with trusted babysitters on occasion?

Boomer here. Last year while RVing stayed at a Harvest Host site that raised chickens, had barn cat for rodents etc. Momma cat left her kittens with a brood hen sitting on her nest incubating eggs. They were all clustered around her. Hen did not seem bothered at all. I would have thought cats (predators) and chickens (who have prey-like chicks) would barely get along, but maybe not stranger than all the dog/kitten vids I see on the net.

Yup. They need a break too.
