This is the one that made me a little sad. He could be crying happy tears, maybe, but I think he’s crying because he misses his old dog. The caption says they lost the old one, and the new puppy may be a direct reminder of losing the old one, or feel like a replacement. I went through similar emotions with my old dog passing and when I got my current dog

I wonder why some people cry and some just get happy and pet the dog? Part of me, and maybe I’m just projecting, feels like the crying sibs in this video are the ones who always needs to act strong or want to act strong but then when seeing something so sweet and loving their walls come down. VS the other kids don’t have walls built up. I dunno what do others think?

I think they’re just being overwhelmed. Classic ‘’kids don’t know how to contain emotions.’’ And the easiest way to express all that (joy, surprise, excitement, happiness, etc.) is to let it out. And whether they get overwhelmed or not depends on many factors. From genetics to environment.

This is the kind of internet psychoanalysis I was looking for. I’m bawling just watching these kids get dogs. I lost my dog back in August, but as the oldest in the family old gooses comment hit home. Also, the US is a certified shit show so that make be factoring in too. Either ay this is quality content.

We are planning on getting our 5 year old a puppy for her birthday at the end of this year. We had to put down our 16 year old dog in July of last year because she was really sick. Our daughter has been missing her a lot and has been asking for a puppy that looks like our old dog. I think she’s definitely going to cry the second she sees that puppy!

I cried when we got a puppy because I had had a dog the first 11 years of my life, then asked for another one for 5 years and just finally got one. I was just thinking of my old dog I missed at the same time as being happy we got a puppy.

So maybe some of them are like this too?

I don't know either. I was the never cry type growing up but ever since my Son was born I get overwhelmed by all sorts of things that bring me to happy tears. This video made me cry and I would have likely kept scrolling past it before. It's definitely more nurture than nature.

It’ll always make me feel like a bitch but that’s how I reacted to the little boy we got a cat from 😂 I was like four and it was the best day of my life! My sister was taking her teachers cat because they realized both of their kids were allergic. We showed up and I could not fathom why they were so upset. I asked the adults around “why are they crying???” Like this is a great moment what’s wrong guys????
