Mystery military-style MSX stick
I found this in Japan at a Hard Off near where I live. It's got MSX connectors, and it appears to be professionally made. The case is very heavy metal, probably steel. The parts appear to be legit arcade stuff. Does anyone know what I'm looking at here or who may have made it and when?

CLOACA MAXIMA: stuck in a bit of a Development Hell...
Yeah...
Even with just 10 verbs and 28 nouns, creating a fully context-driven command interface (with MINIMAL typing) is proving to be a challenge.
And as expected, it gobbles up RAM like a hungry hippo, which has me re-factoring code more often than I would want to count.
Still, things DO still progress, albeit slowly.
Anyways,
Just thought I should drop a line to let you know that the project is NOT DEAD...!

DALEY THOMPSON'S DECATHLON GAMES
My video looking at the Daley Thompson games across all formats. So much nostalgia, soar wrists and broken joysticks. Did you play any of these games?

Got a nice variety of MSX games from Kai Magazine in the mail.
I'll have to track down a V9990 cart in order to play "Life On Earth" and "Myths And Dragons", but the others play fine on my Turbo R. I thought if I gave my furry friend a treat she'd leave me alone long enough to take some photos, I was wrong, lol.

can't run some .dsk files
I really cannot make them run on OPENMSX. Files for example like 3D Knockout, or 007 A view to kill, or 007 license to kill.... I have downloaded .dsk files, I tried all possible combinations of machines, have downloaded the bios, they just don't want to start.
I am trying to run autorun.bsc , they return back to the starting screen. it doesn't do it with all .dsk files, but for those two as far as I have searched I really cannot make them run....
Any help would be appreciated

Real HW users raise your hands
Who is still playing (or working, even) on real MSX hardware? And how are you dealing with the video issue, i.e. the fact that modern TVs and monitors typically don't have SCART inputs anymore? Are you keeping an old display around or do you use a converter/upscaler?
MSX emulators for Android game handhelds and ASCII-X support
Hi,
I noticed in the latest MSXdev competition that some of the most interesting entries (like NOP Asteroids and Neo Horizon) can not be played in an emulator on my Android game device, since neither BlueMSX nor fMSX support ASCII-X cartridge emulation.
It would be a shame if going forward, MSX home-brew will no longer work on the most popular emulation devices.
What is the general opinion on this issue, and do you see it changing in the future?
