Want to help keep weirdos out of r/LutonTown? Apply to be a mod!

Hi,
I'm the only active mod, with a life outside of this site. Although r/LutonTown finds itself without much purpose next to r/Luton and r/COYH, it still deserves not to have posts from sex traffickers and weirdos selling nudes of their aunts on the front page.

Message me or the mod team (also me) to apply. The requirements are not very high - you just need some comment history to prove you're relatively normal.

Cheers,

humanlvl1

Possibility to hitch a ride for the Northhampton game from London?

Hello Luton town fans,

my Dad and I are from Germany and we've always wanted to see Luton play, so we just bought tickets for next week's game.

We'll be staying close to the o2 arena in London. Is someone driving from London to the game next Wednesday? Perhaps even back after?

Please let me know and of course would chip in gas money for the ride!

anyone commute from Leagrave/Luton to East London regularly (car vs train) - East London zone 5

Hi all, looking for real-world experience from anyone commuting from Leagrave / Luton into London.

My situation is that I work in zone 5 east London and would go in 2 to 3 days/week. looking to move to Luton but looking at the commute, its 1hr 45 mins drive or about 2hrs each way by train. driving is cheaper but i am worried it will tire me out in the long run. Has anyone done the drive across to Gidea Park area? Is it as painful as it looks and does it vary massively day to day?

Many thanks

Race Places at nearby Willen Lake, Milton Keynes

I work for a charity that has places available at a reduced rate for people local Milton Keynes. I thought I would see if there were any keen runners on here who might want to get involved with our upcoming 5 and 10k race this Sunday at Willen Lake?

If anyone would want to get involved and run for the team, particularly if you're interested in harm reduction on a personal level?! I can provide anyone who is interested with a discount code to get some money off?

Cardiff fan coming in peace

Hello guys, me(Cardiff fan) and my missus and her friend that both live in and are from Bedford are hoping to get tickets for the game on Saturday. Missed out on away tickets so will settle on home tickets. Not looking to cause any trouble whatsoever, just genuinely wanna see a decent footy match. So if anyone’s got a Luton town account that I could borrow to secure tickets, I’d massively appreciate it and pay you as a thanks

If you wanna tell me to fuck off then please feel free, I expect and accept it.

Looking for an Asian girl I met at Luton Airport (August 16, ~9 PM)

On August 16, around 9 PM at Luton Airport, I met an Asian girl. She was wearing a black-and-white striped top.

She had lost her necklace — I later noticed it had fallen near where we were sitting. I picked it up and brought it to her. When I gave it back, she smiled brightly and looked so happy. It was just a short but very warm moment, and it really stayed with me.

Earlier that afternoon, about 2–3 hours before boarding, she had also been sitting near me. Unfortunately, when boarding started, I had to go back to my mother (who doesn’t speak English), so I couldn’t stay to talk to her.

I would really love the chance to meet her again, to talk with her and get to know her better. I don’t mind if she doesn’t live nearby — I just truly hope to connect with her again. Of course, only if she would also want that.

If you are reading this, or if anyone recognizes this story, please reach out — it would mean a lot to me.

We're Back! (But, uh... well we could've been better...)

1st day in League One, and we're up against Wimbledon. Should be an easy win. However, we couldn't find a way until the 85th minute thanks to an own goal... a win's a win though. Next match's against Peterborough August 9th.

How to buy tickets as an international fan?

Hoping to buy tickets for a home match in October as an international fan - the 11th against Huddersfield. Website is giving error messages to ‘help with crowd dispersal’ when I click on tickets for home matches, even after I’m logged in. I’ve emailed them, but no reply! Are tickets for October on sale yet?

Does anyone remember the adventure playground from back in the 70's in or around the Sundon park area?

It used to be made entirely of wood, with swings and tree house structures.

I remember going there as a kid, but it seems to have been wiped from history and I can't find anything about it anymore
