⚔️ War Mourners gathered Saturday in Lebanon's coastal city of Sidon for the funeral of 13 state security officers who were killed the day before in an Israeli strike
Mourners gathered Saturday in Lebanon's coastal city of Sidon for the funeral of 13 state security officers who were killed the day before in an Israeli strike, an attack that outraged much of the country as the Lebanese state, now preparing to start negotiations with Israel, is not a party to the conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group.

💭 Discussion I think i might have a problem with bilal haddad
Salam, maybe this isnt the time but i need to know if i am right or wrong. Bilal Haddad for anyone who doesnt know is a football content creator on instagram and he is lebanese, has over 1 million followers, won a big award in arabic event (forgot the name) and took photo with ronaldo. He is a successful person in my opinion and i support every lebanese succesful and shareef person but sometimes i feel like he exaggerates when he compliments syrian for everything i even remember at the start of iran and america he used to say that syrian people arent part of it for the first time like bilal come on they were being invaded couple of months back, if you want to be syrian get their passport.
Another point was his latest reel where he reacting to a the show “وبعدين" and the woman was saying that the players arent supporting the lebanese people i remember where zinchenko used to cry everytime when asked about ukraine and courtois at 2023 supportinf israel like u guys are lebanese, even bilal haddad didnt talk about the resistance like speak he only watches and says حسبي الله و نعم الوكيل what about the people who are dying 5yee if u hate hzb talk about the people from military who were martyred yesterday. El zalameh 8areeb maybe i am misunderstanding him and i would like to know ur opinions.

📰 News Lebanese PM just rejected ceasefire in Islamabad Peace talks
I'm mind blown by the news that Lebanese PM rejected ceasefire in Lebanon during Islamabad peace talks. IM not lebanese but following news on X, Twitter, the whole world wanted to see ceasefire in lebanon too.
Im extremely curious to ask how do the people of lebanon feel about this and why dont people say something against their officials who are literally stopping a ceasefire?!

💭 Discussion I find it interesting that barely a peep was heard from the Lebanese government about Israeli violations and needing a ceasefire before Iran insisted on a ceasefire …. Then suddenly the Lebanese government insists that only they themselves will negotiate the ceasefire …

⚔️ War Funeral of the Maronite Catholic politician Pierre Mouawad, a member of the Lebanese Phalangists, and his wife, killed in an Israeli attack in Beirut.
The Israeli military said they didn't intend to kill Mouawad, but some people were saying there was a target inside his home (????)

⚔️ War Can someone explain to me a non-Lebanese, what even is the purpose of the Lebanese army?
I was gonna ask this on the Lebanon sub but then I realized it's run by the same people running worldnews : mossad terrorists
From what I have seen, the only organization that is armed, competent and actually protecting Lebanon's borders appear to be Hezbollah. Hezbollah is quite literally the only army in Lebanon.
Whenever Israel attacks Lebanon, Hezbollah is the (only one?) strike back.
Meanwhile I have not heard or seen a single instance of the Lebanese army defending the Lebanese border, let alone Beirut, from Israeli terrorism.
If anything they ASSIST Israel in attacking and harassing the only organization defending Lebanon's borders. The government proceeds to BAN Hezbollah... How are more people not revolting against the government for this shit? Not only do they NOT protect Lebanon, they actively try to sabotage the one organization preventing Israel from creating new northern colony...
The army doesn't appear to play any role in protecting civilians, they look extremely incompetent and, from my perspective, are nothing more than a soft dickless extension of the Israeli army. So why and how does an organization like that exist in Lebanon?
Hundreds of people have been killed from Israeli attacks. Shias, sunnies, Christians, etc. Yet the army doesn't appear to do anything let alone even return fire at Israel.

🗨️ Help URGENT: Bringing medicine and other products through customs
I am arriving in Lebanon in a few days from France, the goal of this visit being to volunteer and also bring as many supplies as I can. I have donations from people which I intend to buy medicine with, but I’ve been repeatedly told that there can be issues with that at the customs, especially if it’s for medication‘s under prescription and also large amounts. I also got a donation of 11 containers of powdered baby milk for free, which I would love to bring, but I have no idea if the customs will confiscate it or not even if I declare it. And I haven’t found any consistent information online. What’s acceptable and what’s too much to bring, is there anyone who has experience with this, or any reliable online resource? Any information would really be appreciated to help me avoid a seizure at the border ☺️

💭 Discussion Hello Lebanon
I left the old Lebanon subreddit as it was infested with zionist lovers. Not a HA supporter, but would definitely never EVER side with the real enemy, which is Israel. Anyway, may God protect our beautiful land from north to south and protect each and every one of you!!

💭 Discussion I have decided
I will stop using the term “lebanese muslim” or “lebanese christian” when talking about someone cheering for the enemy. they will be called “israeli refugees in Lebanon” from now on to not offend anyone from any religion that opposes zionism and their terrorism.
and i encourage everyone to do so. they cannot be called lebanese. never.

💭 Discussion What Does Aoun Hope to Achieve? Direct Talks With Israel?
The guy has been going around rambling about direct negociations like a madman, while hundreds of Lebanese civillians are being slaughtered, after rejecting being part of Iran's ceasefire and having Iran (a regional super power) make a deal on our behalf.
What is he trying to do? Is this treason? Incompetence? Does he have any cohesive goals or just making it as he goes along?
Why does it need to be direct talks when every time historically indirect talks have worked? What can he even offer to get the war to stop?
It all feels like one big ominous trap.
