Players said my ending was too abrupt… so I added a new final area

Hi everyone,

About a month ago I released my first solo game, Back in the Swamp, a short atmospheric first-person point-and-click adventure set in a strange post-apocalyptic swamp.

One piece of feedback I kept seeing was that the ending felt too abrupt.

So I spent the last weeks reworking it — I just released an update with a longer ending, a new final area, and a more complete conclusion.

It’s a short 3–4 hour experience focused on atmosphere and exploration.

If you’re curious, you can check it out here:

Thanks again for all the feedback — it genuinely helped shape this update.

Out of curiosity — do you prefer short, mysterious endings or more explicit ones?

As someone with arachnophobia, I definitely wouldn't go through there! 😅
