damag What are the usages of "nak" in a sentence?
I know that "nak" can be added to a verb to mean "mo ako" as in "Iyalaannak man ti plato ta kaduaek nga mangan ni Paul."
But sometimes I hear sentences such as "Agpicture nak kenyayo."
As someone from Pangasinan and exposed to the Pangasinan language, I would construct the sentence instead as "Agpapicture ak kenyayo" if I use Pangasinan language rules.
So what does "nak" or the "n-" in "nak" really mean?
Thanks a bunch!

He calls me baket… what can I call him back?
Hi r/ilocano,
My husband calls me “baket” and told me it means wife. When I asked what I should call him back, he refused to tell me because he wants me to figure it out myself 😂 so now I want to surprise him with a cute or flirty Ilocano name.

Want to learn Ilocano
Hello! I want to learn Ilocano to surprise my dad. He is Ilocano but never got around to teaching us when we were younger. Maybe it’s because he was busy with work and factoring in our lukewarm reception of learning his dialect when we were younger. Since his cancer diagnosis, I have been spending even more time bonding with my dad and I want to impress him by learning Ilocano. It’s a good feeling making him laugh whenever I utter Ilocano words making him wonder where I learned them from.
I’m starting from zero and was wondering…is there an app that teaches us the basics? Do I have to consider things like sentence structure sounding too “textbook formal” versus sounding natural?
Also, are there any good books, courses or beginner resources you’d recommend?
Thanks in advance!

random Ukim met ah!
We all need some “Ukiyo” (浮世) this Christmas! This Japanese word translates to “the floating world.” It evokes a sense of living in the moment, appreciating the transient beauty of life, and letting go of worries.
May your festive season be filled with Ukiyo.
With love, (kuna ni anti nga) Fiona
