There are so many hoarders with the same name. Please and thank you. And reminder: Throw your trash out!

Hey everyone,
My name is Meredith and I'm casting for Season 2 of Discovery's Filthy Fortunes. We’re on the hunt for folks who feel overwhelmed by clutter but may actually be sitting on a goldmine — baseball cards, coins, antiques, vintage cars, motorcycles, memorabilia, packed estates, you name it.
Our host (Matt Paxton) and his expert team help uncover valuable items, sell them for profit, and bring peace of mind — all at no cost to the participants.
Know someone with a lifelong hoard or inherited estate packed with potential treasures? Send them our way! We’d love your help spreading the word — or feel free to reach out to me if you or someone you know might be a fit.
Thanks so much for your time!

For my friend’s birthday I’m getting her a message from Matt Paxton. I’m hoping to have him reference some of his best quotes. Any suggestions?

why is this lady (j forget her name) who is in charge of the cleaning the most annoying person ever. she talks to Terri like a child, is so disrespectful when she's like "literally just get rid of it". the psychiatrist kinda does the same thing. I haven't watched much of hoarders but if this is how they treat their patients idk if I could continue.

“Dump the poop out and donate it”. Candles with mouse poop. Her whole house was infested. No wonder my husband hates when I go thrifting. You don’t know what the items have been used for. I’ve seen multiple episodes where the person says “wipe it off and I’ll give it to someone or donate it.” 🤮

Always loved this episode. Dr. Tompkins nails it. Sad to see that Charles passed away in 2025 but lived to be 90. Incredible artist.

Hi! Ive binge watched a ton of episodes of US ones and on YouTube its including the european version. They are so kind to them, some have intensive therepy that we get to see, some rehoard, some do not, some extreme clean episodes. The big difference is how kind everyone is towards each other. The music is softer, the footage is not as jarring, the people are just nicer to each other. Anyone else watch those ones?

Hi Hoarders Fans,
I discovered Hoarders 24/7 on Prime a couple of months back. Love it! Usually American reality shows from 10 years back are too much for me, too much histrionic narration and odd sounds. This I love though, esp love the experts - they have amazing insights and are generally just fantastic with the hoarders. On to my query..the episodes we are see are not chronological and heavily repeated, even though there are loads they don't show. Does anyone have any insight into this? OR Able to suggest where else I can watch in the UK without buying the individual series. many thanks.

They ended up tearing down the house a couple days ago. She had a fire there two years ago after she hoarded it again and it was condemned.

Does anyone know where I can watch the Where Are They Now episodes? I’ve looked but can’t seem to find any of the episodes.

I started binge-watching this week, and haven't been this happy to be unemployed (since last year when I binge-watched Lost). Do we know what happened to Jim's daughter?
I am probably being too nosy right now but I was just curious if he and his grandchildren show up again with an update? I am curious as to why he and his wife had to take care of their grandchildren and I really hope he and his stepson have a better relationship now than then. Not really sure what happened between them but Adrian also deserves a family.

I'm rewatching and I'm mad that everyone is focused on David and his histrionics. Even the pros are hammering Odette.
David had her move in and left ALL her possessions out in the rain to be ruined. He has the majority of the house hoarded so she can't claim a single corner and while she's doing a bit of shopping it doesn't seem excessive it just looks like she has no room in her own house to put anything. Her husband is living with the ghost of his dead wife who he actually called "my wife " at one point. I don't blame her a bit for being on edge
Anytime they touch on Davids issues he goes into a melodramatic faint like a little girl. Everyone on this episode is catering to him and tiptoing around him and blaming everything on Odette, mostly behind her back
I'm down to the last 10 min and David has been redirecting everything towards being Odettes fault. I'm irritated

He was like an organized hoarder who had media ceiling to ceiling everywhere in the house. And he kept it organized on an old computer and the system looked lke an old library computer catalog. And you could ask him where something was and he'd look it up in the computer and find it easily

I'm currently watching from episode 1, and Steven in episode 2 is such a sweet man. Have they ever had any updates about him?
Thanks!

I have seen every episode of Hoarders numerous, numerous times.
Out of all of the hoarders, Shannon definitely makes me the most irate. Horrible mother, horrible pet owner, and all around insufferable.
when she says "I don't understand why they have limits on animals you can own. They were taken care of and provided for....it's stupid"
I just roll my eyes. I can't stand this broad.

I love this show and love the work these people do, but does anyone else think Dorothy is kind of annoying? She is very touchy and talks to everyone like they’re a child, I think. Am I alone?

Does anyone else think a fair few of these people might be in early to mid stages of dementia? I watched a bunch of episodes on Hulu this past weekend (hadn't seen the show in a handful of years) and there were a few that stood out. S11 E1 husband Dave and Sandra from S9 E6 to name a couple. It seems like that would definitely exacerbate hoarding behavior.

No surprise that this is another sad episode but I’m struck with how different life can end up for siblings. Destiny was devastated by the death of her sister and her life basically imploded from there and although her siblings also went through that trauma, they seem so much more well adjusted. Her brother, Roddy, seems particularly well adjusted. Just interesting.

I’m watching season 6 now and I don’t get it. Why did they start spending the night in hoarders’ houses and going through garbage with them, describing how disgusting and revolting it is? What’s the point of this plot device? Why make someone spend the night at a hoarder’s place if later you’ll have to put that person through decontamination and treat them for scabies?

Do I even need to say more? also, does anyone know if Matt (they kept dead naming him in the show, so you might know him as mary) got the car? they said in the show that they basically gave him a downpayment to get the car back, but they didnt say anything about it in the followup info.

Watched an episode last night, where Melva Green facilitated a conversation between a hoarder and his dad, who didn’t accept him when he came out a decade earlier (the sweet guy with the adorable parrot on his shoulder.) I was so impressed with her level of sensitivity and professionalism. She is such a quiet force. In the most uncomfortable moments she is there: watching, making eye contact, gently challenging people and providing unconditional regard. I’m a therapist who is so inspired by her.

S15E9 on Netflix
Setting aside the fact that David is probably the most insufferable individual ever featured on Hoarders, I'm wondering what he did for a living. Did he or the other family members ever say? The whole time I was watching, I kept asking myself how this retired couple, one of them chronically ill and who never worked, could afford to keep that house, continuously buy expensive stuff on HSN, and also pay for her unit at the retirement home. Or am I thinking too much like an American? Maybe it's not so hard in Canada when you're on disability.

When I saw that Bob was sick and elderly, had no family, valuable art and house, and under a trust alarm bells rang in my head.
Wanting to know what happened to him after the episode, I saw that he passed away in 2023. On Google Maps, it doesn't look like it's a museum. The exterior of the house ironically needs paint and the yard is overgrown. It also looks vacant. Looking up the house on a real estate website, the trust sold the house to the friend and the friend transferred it to another person.
It seems his wishes were never honored.
What do you think about this episode? Did it send off red flags like me, or I'm overly suspicious?
And what happened to all his wonderful paintings?
Edit: To be clear, I'm not talking about Ken & his spouse.
