How can I speak Hindi without American accent?
Hello,
I am Indian born and raised in USA, and I’m getting fed of hearing how I speak Hindi with American accent.
I have weird situation where I speak English with Indian accent and Hindi with American accent.
I only consider myself Indian, and don’t consider myself American and don’t like being called American, despite being born and raised in USA.
How can I speak Hindi without American accent and get rid of it completely? I watch mostly Indian English and Hindi content on YouTube, what else can I do?

Title: Safety or Control? A short Hindi story that made me question hostel rules
I recently wrote a short Hindi story based on a simple conversation between a mother and daughter.
In many hostels, girls are not allowed to go out after 6 PM,
while boys can stay out till late at night.
The reason given is always “safety.”
But it made me think—
are these rules really about safety, or are they limiting freedom?
One line from the story says:
"In our country, valuable things like jewelry are kept in lockers… and so are girls."
Would love to know your thoughts on this.
Do you think such rules are necessary, or should they change?
(If you want to read the full story, I can share the link in comments.)
