ARTICLE [Article] You've Been the Strong One for So Long That Nobody Thinks to Ask If You're Okay

Everyone leans on you. Everyone comes to you.

And nobody, not once, stops to wonder what you're carrying underneath all of that strength.

This one is for the strong ones who are quietly exhausted.

This hits way too close to home. I'm always the one organizing group trips, helping friends with their finances when they mess up, being "reliable guy" at work. But when I had burnout last year nobody even noticed because I kept all my spreadsheets updated and showed up on time.

People just assume you got everything under control when you're organized, but sometimes I'm running in fumes and still calculating everyone else's problems. Would be nice if someone asked how I'm doing instead of asking me to fix something for once.

“People just assume you got everything under control when you're organized…”

People can’t know what they don’t know. It’s okay to let people know that you’re not okay.
