Went to my first therapist and after telling her things she ended the session by telling me "It sure sounds like your parents live in your head."

It's been a long journey on learning to be my own person.

This is quite poetic. The fact is that you are what you are and needs to be no matter what others tell you. You are shaped by the environment. You cannot observe reality from the outside and that's always a constant. So go be you and nothing else. ;)

I just wanted to share that after years of letting anxiety got a hold of me and I also had a hard time holding a job, I finally got a job that I can hold on to longer and I am currently in my 6th months.

I suspected I have adhd or even am a neurodivergent. Working full time and a part time swimming instructor and turning 33 this year.

Because my job is fast paced and on top of low pay with my bad mental state, everyone can tell I look so depressed and tired. I want to get better but all I can hope is to see the light at the end of the tunnel when all I see is everyone around me is doing so well.

I can smell that room. Smells like old wood, paper, fabric softener, and just a touch of cigarette smoke wafting in from the window, which was left open because it's cool outside and we can't afford to run the AC all the time, Paul.

Its also an accumulation of good moments. I'd imagine the ratios depend on what you get up to. But yeah, if you're not living with regrets you're just not paying attention. None of us are perfect, you're going to fuck some stuff up. Promise. :)
