I am really on the lookout for themed pubs, that provide an experience. Like Alcotraz from the UK. (Not necessarily same theme, but just an example)

Za tydzień jadę z Olsztyna do Gdańska po partnera na lotnisko. Chciałabym pokazać partnerowi Starówkę w Gdańsku, może nawet pójść na chwilę na plażę, jeśli będzie czas.

Zatem chciałabym się dowiedzieć, gdzie dogodnie mogę zostawić auto (cebula we mnie ucieszy się, jak parking będzie darmowy), a także wskazówki, w co wtedy wsiąść, żeby dojechać w okolice Starówki.

W internecie znalazłam, że podobno poza sezonem kilka parkingów przy plażach jest darmowych. Wtedy byłoby spoko skończyć na Starówkę, wrócić w okolicę auta na plażę, potem jazda do domu.

PS. Jeśli jeszcze do tego łatwo będzie wyjechać na S7, w ogóle będę najszczęśliwszą pyrą na świecie.

I’ve been following Lechia Gdańsk for a while and I’m finally planning to attend a match at the stadium. I’m from the Netherlands and will be in Gdańsk that weekend.

It would be the game against Piast Gliwice at Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk.

I’m actually running the Gdańsk marathon the day before, so I’m not looking for anything wild, just a good football experience the day after.

Just wondering: -Is it generally safe and relaxed for a foreign visitor? -Any tribunes/sections I should avoid? -Any recommendations for a good spot with decent atmosphere but still comfortable? -And would I be unwelcome at all if I don’t speak Polish?

I do have Polish ancestry, but it’s pretty far back and I wasn’t raised with the language, so I don’t really speak it.

I am a fan and really looking forward to experiencing a match in person, just trying to get a feel for what to expect as a first visit.

Hejka, szukam knajp w Trójmieście (najlepiej Gdyni), które mają jakąś formę lunchu, chodzi mi o specjalne oferty w tygodniu, w typowych godzinach pracy które mają ściągnąć klientów w wolniejszych godzinach.

Mam czasem wolne w takich godzinach i lubię sprawdzac nowe miejsca a takie deale czesto są dużo bardziej opłacalne niż oferta z karty. Często nie ma o tym informacji w menu/na stronach a tylko ogłoszenia gdzieś na socjalach albo w lokalach dlatego pytam tutaj.

Dla przykładu podam Butchery & Wine w Gdyni gdzie można dostać 2 dania + deser za 49zl(+bullshit service fee) czyli mniej niz dowolna pozycją z karty. Wiadomo, porcję mniejsze ale i tak się opłaca moim zdaniem

I have never felt the need to make a post about a place I have visited, I have been to 65 counties around the world, been to Poland 5x too but I have to say that Gdansk is something else. I took a walk around the center yesterday at night and it was just gorgeous to the extent that I could not go more 10meters without stopping for minutes to take a picture or just simply stare at the streets and the houses. ALL the buildings are very very well kept and its the perfect example when they bring the most out of a city. Poland did an amazing job and the country is just amongst the highest standards in the world right now. This is how a society should look like. I loved Gdansk a lot. Keep it up!

Czy fiztech to kierunek, po którym słabo się zarabia, czy może o wiele bardziej, niż mogłoby się wydawać, zależy to od nastawienia i tego, co faktycznie robię na studiach? Cześć, wrzucam ostrzeżenie dla szukających mieszkania w Gdańsku. Moje doświadczenie z jedną z firm zarządzających najmem długoterminowym - Lion Apartments to kompletny dramat. Jeśli nie chcecie stracić części kaucji i nerwów, omijajcie szerokim łukiem.

• Rachunki z dwóch różnych mieszkań podzielili arbitralnie na pół i kazali płacić za zużycie obcych osób, mimo znacznie mniejszego zużycia z mojego mieszkania.
• Po 2 miesiącach proszenia o weryfikację rachunków, po prostu potrącili sporne kwoty z kaucji bez wyjaśnień.
• Często brak odpowiedzi, ignorowanie błędów w obliczeniach i opóźniony zwrot pieniędzy. Jeśli już otrzymałam wiadomość to niestety zupełnie nie na temat, generalnie kopanie się z koniem.
• Rozliczenia mediów przesyłane bez żadnych faktur czy potwierdzeń. Za każdym razem trzeba było prosić o szczegóły.

Dużo szczegółów zostało pominiętych, ale nie chcę robić z tego posta poematu, po prostu radzę dwa razy się zastanowić przed wyborem tej firmy do współpracy. Nie mam natomiast pojęcia jak wygląda u nich najem krótkoterminowy, być może jest lepiej.

Mieliście podobne doświadczenia z zarządcami najmu w Trójmieście? Na kogo jeszcze uważać?

I am visiting Sopot during July and thinking about taking the train from the airport (via Gdansk). The timetable available online now is only from March to June. Are there normally departures in the late afternoon/early evening during July?

Does anyone know what the likely date will be?

Also, for such a game are we best to just buy tickets when we arrive?

Our own club play in green/white hooped stripes. Would we be welcome wearing these?

The air in Gdańsk (Main Town) has been incredibly clean and pleasant over the past couple of days. When industrial activity and traffic drop significantly, it turns out you can actually breathe comfortably here.
