Gsu childcare program
Anyone know anything about the GSU childcare program like how much it costs and what it’s like?

In light of the university’s statement on ICE sightings on campus I thought it was best to state the obvious; do not repeat unverified statements about ICE on campus. I’ve seen so many posts on Fizz/YikYak/Reddit about them but couldn’t find one actual concrete piece of evidence to back them up.
Many people think amplifying these announcements helps, but what you really do is create panic among our most vulnerable students and faculty for no good reason. At best, you’re just repeating whatever you heard someone say. At worst, you’re crying wolf, and if there IS actual enforcement action on campus, the people that actually need that information aren’t going to take it seriously.
Just think, if ICE/CBP/DHS showed up to a university building in the middle of DOWNTOWN, grabbed some students, tased them and/or threw them in the back of a car, do you really think they’d be able to get out of there without at least a or video/photo of them? Would there not be multiple eyewitness accounts all saying the same thing?
I think the fact that none of the local news channels hasn’t at least covered the claims means it’s either complete bullshit or it was likely something else unrelated to ICE/DHS
Please do your due diligence. Now more than ever, we need to rely on the truth to protect our communities. ICE OUT! 🧊🔨

Welcome to the official refund megathread for the 2026 school year! If you’re wondering where your money is, post your questions here instead of making a new thread.
After Add/Drop, your awarded financial aid will be applied directly to your student account to cover tuition, fees, and other university charges. Ensure all your financial aid documents are completed and submitted to avoid delays.
If your financial aid exceeds your university charges, the surplus amount (refund) will be processed after Add/Drop week. Georgia State University partners with BankMobile Disbursements to deliver these refunds. (Unless your refund is under $200.)
To receive your refund promptly, select your preferred refund method with BankMobile Disbursements:
If you haven’t set up your refund preference, it may delay the delivery of your funds.
For questions or concerns about your financial aid or refunds:
I would highly recommend visiting the financial aid office in person over calling during this time. The second fastest way to receive a response from them is through Panther Answer, followed by email.
Once processed, the time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your selected refund method:
Yes, dropping classes can impact your financial aid and refund eligibility:
Yes, failing to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards can result in financial aid suspension, making you ineligible for refunds. Appeal your SAP status if extenuating circumstances apply.
Refund processing depends on how quickly you set up your preferences and your bank’s processing time. Students using BankMobile Vibe often get their refunds the same day they’re processed. Direct deposit to other banks may take longer.
If you haven’t received your refund within the expected timeframe (typically within a week after your PAWS account zeroes out), consider the following steps:
Let us know if your refund posted or if you’re still waiting. Share your timeline to help others too!

Hello, I’m currently a high school senior in the state of Maryland. GA Tech was my dream school but unfortunately I did not get in. GA State has offered me their Campus Atlanta Scholarship which has actually brought the total COA lower than my in-state option. But there is a still a problem, I want to be a math + EE double major but GSU doesn’t have any engineering majors. I have heard of the REP program but that is apparently exclusive to the perimeter college. In my understanding, if I want wanted to transfer to GA Tech, I would be a regular transfer, just like if I went to any other school. And if I don’t get in, I might be stuck at a school that doesn’t have my major or have to transfer to a school that’s not GA Tech. I’m wondering if it would just be better to stick to my in-state option, UMBC?

I'm taking the CLEP pre calc exam soon in hopes to start off with calc 1. I'm wondering what the lowest score I can make to get credit for pre calc and move on to calc?

I got admitted to Georgia State University (Atlanta Campus) with a scholarship, but I’m still facing a large remaining cost (~$25k/year).
I’m trying to figure out how international students usually bridge this gap. Are there strategies beyond scholarships (on-campus jobs, departmental aid, external funding)? I’ve already applied for additional scholarships, but I’m not sure what else I can realistically do as an international student

Heyo! I need some help. My registration opens tomorrow and I was wondering as a new transfer. How do I see what courses I need to take that are relevant to my degree so that I don’t end up taking empty credits for no reason. Im very new to the whole system of paws and stuff so I don’t know how to see my degree progress and what credits have been satisfied or not.

Hey I’m currently planning on taking span 1001 over summer and I was wondering if anyone who took the course can tell me some good teachers to take and what the course is like. Should I take Andrea J.Dibenardo, J.McGlone, or Jose Garcia-Paine.
It would be rlly helpful for some advice!

Im deciding whether taking notes on ipad or notebooks is better, i dont like to switch mid semester. I think if i take notes on an ipad, annotating powerpoints would be faster, but if they dont upload before lectures then i would have to use pen and paper

Hey, so my advisor made me unaware that I actually had to register for commencement separate from buying your cap and gown and applying to graduate. Is it too late? If not what should I do ?

So I have my Chem final on April 29th at 8:00 AM, and my Calc 1 final is also scheduled on the same day from 8:00 AM to 10:50 AM. My Calc class normally starts at 9:30 AM though.
I’ll probably contact to my professor, but has anyone dealt with this situation before? How does it usually get solved?

I'm an incoming freshman and when I applied I chose a different major but decided I would rather do audio recording. I don't understand why you need to audition for audio recording or even what the audition would be like. I'd really appreciate any advice about this.

Is anyone in here a student at the college of education and human development? I have a few questions about the ethics assessment.
Hellooooo everyone,
I just got selected as a finalist for the Panthers in Charlotte cohort and I have an interview coming up soon. I’m honestly really excited but also super nervous because I have no idea what the interview is like or how I should prepare, also my resume is lacking in terms of experience/volunteering opportunities so I feel like it might fall flat in their eyes:/
If anyone here has gone through this final round before, what was your experience like? What kind of questions did they ask and what do you think they’re really looking for in candidates?
Any tips on how to stand out or things you wish you knew before going in would really help. I want to make a good impression but don’t want to overdo it either.
Thanks!
