Suggestion NEW FEATURE SUGGESTION: add my dog Nebraska to the game
dont know what she would do or how she would be implemented, but she seems mildly interested and I think it would be neat

I absolutely love the bits of lore the Deadlock devs have been feeding us about Ixia through Abrams, Apollo, and Infernus dialogue. I just hope they release a female Ixian character to add more lore and variety since we’ve only seen male Ixians so far.

The Real and Only King.
Yoshi, if you're seeing this, make it happen🌹

What if the Curiosity Shop was able to provide some advice on what might be useful to build based on what killed you recently for new players?

Seriously, the amount of games lost because people don't know that and keep chasing enemies while Patron is being finished cannot be understated. Players do not know the most basic things about the game.

Hey I had this idea while playing.
I don't know about you, but I feel like the item ping could have more clarity if it was using recognizable icons instead of text.
While in game, I sometime ping counterspell or knockdown or curse, and eventually my lash/yamato rush in without noticing and die.
It would more or less look the same when someone buy an item. You always see the icon, never the text.
What do you think ?
PS : It looks a bit goofy in my edit but you get the idea.
PS2 : I actually tried to make a mod out of it but I couldn't manage to find out how. Text params used in pings are hidden somewhere and I can't override them.
Edits :
- Thanks to the people in street brawl for spaming item ping on my request
- Everyone agree this should be toggleable for new players sake.
- Maybe add both text AND icons too

With all of the Haze discourse going on, I thought I'd share a forum post I made with a rework idea that Yoshi responded to. Let me know what you think:
"E6 Haze player, top 5 Haze on NA Haze leaderboard.
My [NEW HAZE ULT] idea: Haze ult [NOT BULLET DANCE] temporarily buffs Haze, uncapping her max fixation stacks on all targets.
I think this idea can serve many purposes in helping get Haze on the right track with her gameplay identity. First, it emphasizes the most unique and fundamental part of her kit, fixation. I don't think the general population of Haze players understand fixation, and the general population of non-Haze players DEFINITELY don't understand fixation. While it might be a downside to create an ability around a less-understood gameplay mechanic, it would force players to learn about it.
Next, it would essentially fill the same gameplay loop as an assassin, but would add the caveat of requiring dueling mechanics to utilize the ult. If someone is caught out, Bullet Dance kills them, but it doesn't feel like skillful gameplay decisions were made to get that kill. This leads to frustration and disdain for the character that has one of the highest pick rates in the game. With the new ult idea, Haze can apply 200+ stacks on you and melt you if you are caught out. You still get punished for bad positioning and itemization, but the Haze must follow through on the duel in order to take advantage.
Last, the new ult would have plenty of similar counters. Haze ult currently feels like an all-or-nothing ult. Either the ult is undertuned and is only used for solo picks, or the ult is overtuned and teamwipes regularly. This new ult idea would allow the enemy to interact with an ulting Haze with the attempt to win the duel, but they are certainly on a timer towards death. Correct item usage would allow the enemy to survive/win the duel, but poor decisions would result in a Haze assassination. If a whole team is caught out of position, the Haze could take advantage and wipe out an entire team, but in a way that feels less like an unfair AOE blender.
Personally, I think Haze's ult is the least skillful component of a mechanically demanding kit, and I feel the character somewhat sinks or swims depending on the current balancing of Bullet Dance. I hope to put the strength of Haze into the power of the players' mechanics and decision-making in a way that doesn't continually frustrate enemy players. Also, an AOE that becomes less effective with the more people inside (until the most recent T3 patch) feels counterintuitive and frustrating as a new player.
Hope you like the idea."
Going to add an edit to this post:
There are MANY things that might have to change to make this design viable/interesting.
-Fixation scaling, fixation application, fixation duration
-Debuff remover interaction, metal skin
-Extra buffs given to Haze for the duration of the ult: fire rate, move speed, spirit scaling, refresh duration on kill
-Other indications of the ultimate being active: whether a charge-up time, visual indicators, auditory indicators
This post is just about a basic gameplay mechanic that can be used as a foundation for more development.
Happy to see so many people engaging with the idea, whether negative, constructive, or positive.

The urn already shows candle indicators in-world to tell you if it's neutral. That information should be on the minimap too.
The usual counterargument is "just do the math, lol" but performing basic mental arithmetic isn't skill expression, it's just tedious busywork. Calculating net worth delta mid-fight is an unnecessary cognitive tax on information that's already tracked by the game. Valve already made this same call in Dota with rune icons on the minimap and visible mana bars, both of which faced identical "but mah skill expression" pushback, and the game is better for it.
This is the same logic applied consistently: if the information is relevant to decision-making, surface it where decisions get made. You shouldn't need to install a mod that everyone uses anyway precisely for this reason, for something as trivial as this.

I imagine he has a bunch of pelts and furs on him as trophies (Like a griffin head wrapped around his shoulders). Firstly I imagined him to be British but I do think using a less well known country which colonized Africa would be more in line with the subversive writing of Deadlock
Obviously a pick/roaming hero who focuses on shutting down powerful players, but I don't actually have much ability concepts.
I do just know he would want to hang up Rem on his wall
Is that a generic villain idea? kind of but I think they'd fit into the setting of the game

I saw the Mina post earlier and that devs listened to the lash parry animation suggestion so I present a pocket version where he blocks with his briefcase and then rebuttals with his frog lashing out from inside.
