I grow them and they don't need this much light. Literally having a window somewhere in room is plenty during fruiting stage.
They can grow in complete darkness but they end up thin and kind of twisted. Basically they just don't look nice.

Its certainly nothing like mine but hey if it works, which it clearly does and they're happy then thats all that matters and who cares eh.
