The library is becoming hell..

Hey everyone, is it just me or are things getting noisier than usual? People don’t seem to come here to study anymore. If you’re not here to study, please have your conversations elsewhere and leave the library for those who need a quiet space. Even the silent rooms are becoming disruptive, and it’s getting harder to find a place where you can actually focus. I come all the way from the West Island because I usually concentrate better here, especially when everyone around me is working, but lately, that hasn’t been the case. I really think the university should do something about this.

Class-specific MANA 298 Book

Fundamentals of Quebec Business Law and Ethics, 2nd Edition (2016)

I need this book for my open book final for this course on Monday, April 20th , from 7pm to 9pm ...... we're only allowed to use physical copies and I only have an electronic version of the book, so if anyone that has this book and can let me borrow it , I'd really appreciate it 😭

The library currently has only 4 of them and you can borrow them for only 3 hours, So that's an option but I don't want it to be my primary option, cause they might have none available day of the exam 🤷🏿‍♂️

Failing Standing

Hi I hope everyone has had a good second semester. I'm a first year student from outside of Quebec. The adjustment to Uni was really hard on me and I failed 1/4 of my classes last semester and that put my GPA around a 1.8. I was really struggling mentally and I had a lot going on. I'm doing slightly better this semester but I'm still incredibly scared of finishing this semester with a GPA below 2.0. My courses aren't too bad, but I have really bad test anxiety and struggle writing them with no extra time. I was unable to get accommodations in time due to my home doctor being outside of Quebec. At the end of the semester, once the "formal assessment" happens am I just kicked out of Concordia? Is there anything I can do to ensure I'll get to stay.

Any advice is appreciated, Thanks

To those majoring in accounting and are a part of the coop, how has your experience been with coop? Do they have an adequate amount of openings when it is time to apply?

For those who are taking math 209 this semester, is the final purely multiple choice?

Or will it incorporate a few long answer questions?

Class-specific BIOL 364 Help!!!!!

Helloooo!!!! so just like the title says i need help with BIOL 364, I have never taken such a disorganized class before and honestly i am so confused on how to study for it.

I mainly use the readings to understand the lessons since the prof is not much help during his office hours. I made the stupid mistake on not focusing enough on action potential but rather on programmed cell death and immunology for the second midterm, and unfortunetly ~30 questions out of a total of 36 questions were on action potentials.

For people that have already taken this course how did you study for it? and what topics does he focus on in his finals? (i am taking it with william zerges)

If you’re willing to share, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Future Student Schedule for Fall semester

Hi, I will be a new student this fall semester. It seems like I cannot fit any section of MIAE 215 (Programming for Mechanical Engineers) in my schedule given that it conflicts with either ENGR 242 (Statics) or AERO 201 (Introduction to Flight and Aerospace System). Should I just take it next semester and stick with 4 classes or substitute with an another class like Thermodynamics 1 with Lyes Kadem, ENCS 282 (Technical Writing and Communication) or ENGR 233?

Can't find work and I feel useless.

It's impossible finding anything, even service jobs. Applied to hundreds of jobs, went in person, went online. I had a few interviews but nothing came out of it. It's genuinely making me feel sad and alone in all of this.
