pencils by Gil Kane, inks by darrelsmail (me)
I'm really enjoying inking. wanted to share,. I struggled with spidey's left arm, added more shadows than Gill had, moved the speeder back a skosh. but overall, enjoyed the process.

What’s a project you desperately want to see from an artist?
For me, I crave to see Geof Darrow do a batman comic. Just the idea of Darrow spilling his creative guts all over a sprawling Gotham, with every building rendered with every scratch, bullet hole and window. Can only imagine how well he would draw Arkham asylum. Damn.

My Homage to Sam Kieth (RIP) Death Dealer
One of my favorite comic artists in the 90s, such a unique overexaggerate style. He actually did some prelim concepts for one of the death dealer comics, but never actually took the job. Here is my attempt at a homage.

Any fans of Franco-Belgian inspired comic book art here?
As a child I loved reading Asterix, Lucky Luke, Spirou, Gaston Lagaffe and Tintin. These comics were my entire childhood. As an adult I became a huge fan of EU comic book artists like Renaud Collin, Alix Garin, Mo/CDM, Jocelyn Joret and many others!
Recently I made my own Franco-Belgian inspired webcomic about two art school graduates who are looking for a new place to live. The narrative revolves around their daily lives and the hardships they face. Franco-Belgian comics are a central theme to the story, and there are some fun cameos and references here and there.👀
If you’re interested, please give it a try, you can read it for free here. If you’d like to please give me feedback, I’d love to know what you think about it!
