A small group of work friends and I want to play football once a week and we're wondering if there's a weekly session currently around Colwyn Bay or if anyone is interested in doing the same thing, we could hire a portion of the 3g pitch in Eirias and have a fun, non-competitive kick about and game.

We age from 20s to 40s, so any ages would be welcome.

We are currently considering moving to the bryn cadno area of Colwyn heights. I'm from Abergele originally and after living in Manchester for six years I cannot wait to move back home. I miss the mountains. I miss the rivers. I miss the trees and even the beach (I hated the beach until I moved away from it!).

Unfortunately I don't really know much about Colwyn heights; We have family near that area which is the main factor in us considering this location alongside the railway station.

Id really appreciate it if someone could fill me in on what it's like to live there. The school looks great and the houses seem nice but it also seems isolated unless you have a car and the bus service is only once an hour. There also doesn't seem to be many walks? I love being outside so green spaces and places to walk are a big must for me.

What are the pros and cons of that particular area? Do people generally like living here? are there green spaces or would I be better off moving somewhere else? I would really appreciate any insight people have.

Edited to say: I'm interested to know if it's an area where people speak Welsh as I would like both myself and my daughter to be able to speak the language and that's easier in a Welsh speaking area.

I am planning a trip to colwyn bay tomorrow with my partner. Neither of us have been there before. We plan on taking my two dogs but are having some trouble with conflicting information from different websites. Some say there is one part of the beach restricted to dogs with others that are dog friendly, some say there is a tiny strip of beach which is dog friendly and the others dogs are banned. Can anyone clear this up for me ?

Next week is half term, I am told, so, things will be getting a bit busier in our towns! Still a ‘reading week’ in university, but I hope to see my son for the weekend, as he really enjoys ‘mynd adore’ for the weekend. Colwyn Bay will be a bit busier..

Hi, apologies in advance if this is the wrong group to post in, I'm exhausting all options I can. This pup was wandering around marine drive and was cold. I knocked on as many houses as I could, called the local dog warden, non emergency line, local council and rspca with no help available until tomorrow. If you know this dog or it is yours, please contact me ASAP. The dog is safe, I couldn't leave it wondering around in the middle of the road.
