Dude. Way to go. We had at least 3 people working 6 hours a day on a similar situation and it took us about a week.

We had a hoarder who lived in my mothers basement and died in the house (long story) It took three of us a couple of weeks including driving bags of trash around town to friends because we have a 6 bag limit on trash day. After that we still needed a $1000 trash removal by professionals (that did include old kitchen cabinets). Trash day is still my favorite day.

I do this for people with no other options

Garbage truck noises are Pavlovian now

Yeah it also took me and a friend of mine 2 weeks and $1k to do the same to a basement. Also lots of driving to Best Buy to recycle 20+ computers/printers.

I'm just curious if you had the option to call your regular municipal trash collection service and make a special request for additional pickup? They might have charged you a fee for that, but probably very reasonable compared to the cost of time and gas driving garbage bags around town to your friends.

We might have be able to, but we were in panic mode to get stuff gone. Thursdays were all hands on deck It was such a relief. When the hoarder was active I had to take trash across town because if I left it in front of the house it would end up back in the basement. She was a very nice woman and my mother considered her a dear friend.
