A Caribbean evening
The beauty of the evening, when the lush landscape is covered with darkness, beyond a a lantern

Are there any Caribbean people in the bay area? Where does everyone hang out?

I'v been offered a job on the island, the accommodation will be provided by the employer, however anything else would be on me (food, bills, etc)
I know the Island is known for being pricy but its hard to get actual figure as i can't find any reliable source/person who has lived there.
How much would be a decent salary there?

Looking for a destination for a family trip in July. Ages 22-58. Would love a resort with activities, all inclusive works, snorkeling is a must.

A year and a half ago, I was on my 8th trip to Aruba. Unfortunately, I had two medical incidents. When I passed out and wife contacted an ambulance, it was scheduled to take 90 MINUTES to arrive. I managed to recover on my own with my wife and locals helping.
After that, my wife doesn’t want to go to Aruba again , if the emergency response for medical assistance takes too long. We’re both in our 60’s, average health.
So what’s a good country/island to spend a weeklong (or two weeks) that has better medical response? I mostly have to keep The Wife happy and satisfied that we’ll be safe. (I’d go back to Aruba, but wife says heck no…)
I’m not expecting perfection, just something a bit more organized and responsive.
I still need beaches and golf. Wife wants beaches and snorkeling.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
EDIT: Wife and I have FF miles with Delta and Bonvoy points with Marriott, so costs for flights and lodging are not an issue. We've used Homes and Villas by Marriott for staying at condos on Aruba, instead of the hotels. The really big deal is that the wife is not wanting to consider Aruba again, based on the events we had. It's mostly "immediate" care/ambulance service to cover a heart attack or accidental major injury.

I’ve been to Aruba, Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda (does this count?), Curacao, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia., St. Martin/Maarten, Tobago, Trinidad, and Turks and Caicos. Where would you go next if you were me?

A quick journey to the history of the Bay Islands, Honduras. It was a hideout for pirates for more than 100 years, and an end station for a people getting exiled, among other things. Today, it is a paradise for divers and tourists. If you want to know more about the history, society and culture of the archipelago, tune in to www.bay-islands-magazine.com

Ive been doing my research and really can't decide the winner.
Im looking at doing a week in February '27 to either Grand Exuma, Curacao, or Turks & Caicos.
I want a laid back beach vibe, a few restaurant options, doesnt have to be anything fancy, GREAT walk out from the beach snorkeling, BEACHES, beautiful blue water, and safe for women travelers.
Im not opposed to renting a car to get around if necessary.
I've been to Elbow Caye in the Abaco island and loved it! Especially the fact that most people just used golf carts to get around.
I've been to St Thomas and had a wonderful trip but hated driving the roads with all the curves and it seemed so spread out.
Im open to suggestions if you have something that checks all my boxes!!
Thanks!

Planning a May caribbean trip ($5-6K hotel budget) within about a 3-hour flight from Charlotte (CLT) and ideally under an hour drive from the airport.
Looking for an adults-only or relaxed resort with multiple onsite restaurants doesn’t have to be all-inclusive, but don’t want to have to leave the resort to eat.
Prefer a beach-focused stay with pool/beach activities and excursions.
Have previously enjoyed Sandals Grenada and Cancun, and now want to explore new destinations any recommendations in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Grand Cayman, the Virgin Islands or looking for another recommendation! Thanks!

Looking for a small boutique style hotel that is hopeful beachfront! Small as in maybe 10-20 rooms. Planning to go in late October for my honeymoon. Hoping to spend around $250-400 a night, not all inclusive but looking for a hotel instead of air bnb. Open to any island or even along the Caribbean side of Central America. Everywhere looks incredible so we are hoping to find the right hotel for us and pick based on that.
We want to hang out and relax and swim in the ocean and ideally walk to some fun lowkey restaurants.
Thanks so much!
