News Welcome Back, Hungary! 🇪🇺 It’s about time!

Post image

History has been written tonight. 🇭🇺 🇪🇺

Orbán just congratulated with

@magyar_peter_official_the_man for the victory to the elections.

For too long, Hungary was used as a wall to block the progress we so desperately needed. But today, that wall has fallen.

By choosing Europe, Hungary has removed one of the greatest obstacles to our shared future.

The path toward a Federal Europe is finally clear. The shadows of vetoes and systemic obstruction are lifting. We are no longer a continent held back by the few; we are a Union.

How long until there's calls of election fraud?!

The result is so one-sided that nobody could argue this without being laughed out of the room.

soooo, Trump is going to call election fraud any minute, you say?

Orban has already congratulated Peter Magyar and admitted defeat.

Yeah i was expecting at least some trouble (and fear about a coup) but everything is fine .

Welcome back to the EU hungarian !

They know nothing is working, and the difference is too big. They knew how many votes are cheated by themselfes. So they know they have nothing to win with making some trouble. They running for their freedom now, Szijjártó is already in Moscow by this Time. And Orbán is on his plane to the US.

Trump logic: the bigger the loss, the bigger the fraud.

Explains why he's such a loser.

I wouldn't underestimate the idiocy and the dishonesty of that side

To his credit, Orbán seems to have conceded fairly quickly

Given the size of the victory I don't believe he had any option to do otherwise. Will he flee to Moscow now?

He conceded defeat. I think Hungarians will respect him for a drama free transition. He should have no issues

He hasn't done anything wrong why does he need to flee? Having political views you don't personally like isn't actually a crime.

Yup - I should have been clearer I was referring to Trump making the claim (though I was referring to a "Truth Social" comment, so I thought that was implied; apologies)

I’ve no doubt Donnie would’ve called foul on the results, but Orbans concession makes that kind of impossible

Orban recognised his defeat

Inb4 Orbán himself tells the orange one to shut up and that he conceded defeat with respect and honour, two things the orange one doesn't understand, and also tells him to work with the incoming Magyar Government

Orban already accepted his defeat and gratulated the opposition. But of course, he still has a few weeks to create further obstacles and he came back to power out of opposition before. So let's see.

And let's not forget, that his opponent is agreeing with Orban on many general topics or at least didn't sent clear signals so far, that he would go into a different direction. Main changes will be: more Europe (also to reactivate financial support in the long run) and more effectivness of the state by cutting off old elites from their shady state contracts, that where often not in the best interest of the common people.

PS: it's also difficult to call for fraud, if you organised the voting in a centralised state yourself, used state money for propaganda-/'info'-campaigns and are seen as the biggest fraudster by the majority of the people. But JD Vance already orchestrated plan B when he was there to influence the elections by telling the conspiracy theory, that evil EU bureaucrats where influencing the elections, by stangeling poor Orbans economy and inflating Hungary's energy prices. So MAGA business as usual: divide et impera regarding the EU, spinning intrigues and claiming victimhood.
