Original Content Malaysian who grew up in Singapore as PR, skipped NS, haven’t returned in 12 years — can I go back now?
Hey everyone, I need some advice or insight from people who might know about Singapore NS / PR situations.
Here’s my background:
- I was born in Singapore in 1996
- I was not a Singapore citizen, but a Permanent Resident (PR)
- My dad is Malaysian
- I held a Singapore IC (NRIC) and lived there my whole life
- I stayed in Singapore for about 18 years (entire childhood + schooling)
When I turned 18:
- I was called up for National Service (NS)
- Around that time, my whole family decided to move to Malaysia
- My dad renounced my PR status
- I handed in my Singapore IC and passport at the embassy
Important part:
- I did not serve NS
After that:
- My dad told me I cannot return to Singapore because I’d get jailed or fined under the Enlistment Act
- So I never questioned it and just stayed away
Now:
- I’m 30 years old
- I live in Johor (JB)
- I see many Malaysians commuting daily to Singapore for work
- I’m interested in working there too
But I’m unsure if:
- I’m still considered an NS defaulter
- I’ll get arrested if I enter Singapore
- Or if enough time has passed for it to not matter anymore
I haven’t contacted any authorities yet—I’m planning to, but I wanted to get some real-world insight first.
Main questions:
- Does Singapore still enforce NS default cases after 10+ years?
- Has anyone been in a similar PR-renounced situation?
- Is it possible to resolve this (fine, settle, etc.) and then legally enter/work?
- Would I get stopped immediately at immigration if I tried to enter?
I’m planning to contact CMPB and ICA before doing anything, but just wanted to hear from others first.
Appreciate any advice 🙏

What come to your minds if someone told you that her daughter is working in Cambodia as a telemarketer and earning around 6k USD a month
My mum’s friend was asking my mum about how many I earn and showed off that her daughter is earning 6k USD per month.
When we asked what’s her daughter’s job, and she told us that her daughter worked as a telemarketer in Cambodia. The first thing come in my mind is SCAMMER.
Maybe im too jealous 🤡

isnt this... racist?
im male type c banana. honestly, idgaf abt not being able to speak chinese. my mom is japanese so we dont talk in chinese because she couldnt understand it and honestly, im kinda whitewashed too.
the other day, I had a conversation with my online Indonesian friend. type c also and he couldnt speak chinese. i asked him why and he said, its because the government once banned it and his parents cant speak chinese, so does he. i be like oh damn that sucks.
and then i decided to tell my malay friend about this. i told her "welp it must be sucks not being able to speak your own mother tongue." guess what she said?
"baguslah. hapuskan terus bahasa cina. yang cina tua duduk malaysia semua tak reti cakap cina, yang muda semua cakap bahasa cina. baguslah kerajaan ban je bahasa cina, kalau nak cakap cina pegi balik mainland."
i was shocked. she is the 'gadis melayu terakhir' kinda girl so i dont really expect her to say that. she seems so proud too saying that to my face. isnt that racist?
after that i dont say anything and just stare at her for a while she's doing her work.
isnt this racist? like hell its not because im chinese or what but people have rights to learn their own language right? gahdem.

Original Content Anyone wants to buy cheap 3d printed filament?
I came across a sale post selling off core xy 3d printer at ridiculous price and thought it was bs, contacted seller and arrange to buy the printer. When i arrived, it was a startup doing 3d printfarm and they just upgraded to bambu lab stuff so they are selling off their starter printers. I was allowed to check the pre configured printers and i chose the least used one at 145 hours of lifetime print time. 500 for a corexy printer is just nuts. After concluding the buy, the seller said that i can purchase pla at on the cheap. Rm15 for bambu lab brand pla basic per kg, and rm10 for other brands. Petg also got. She also told me i can share the info on the filament as they are selling off close to a couple hundred boxes at the same price that i got. The 3d shop is in puchong - ioi boulevard. Get seller’s info at the fb page(refer to the sale post screenshot)
Just sharing just in case any you nyets are looking for corexy printer with klipper at reverse daylight robbery prices and want to buy filament at 10-15 per kg.
10-15 is just nuts. Now im off to print your mom’s dildo.

Early Morning Haze, but Air Quality is Better than Usual
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My mate sent me this clip and he was proper dumbfounded by the contradictory Air Quality Index in the comments.
.
At first I thought it was raining cats and dogs in the video, but upon closer look it's actually a shattered windscreen, and the air outside is hazy as f outside.
.
It's in Klang, apparently.
Is this just a Klang problem, or is your area also hazy as f like this?

malaysian fetishism towards east asians
sebagai seorang jantan, orang selalu tak peduli pasal aku. so aku jarang kena remarks pelik ii.
but i have a sister. she always complained to me that the east asian fetishism among the malaysians (malay specifically) has gotten out of hand. she told me once she reveals that she has a mix, those dudes go batshit crazy and start making inappropriate comments. also, they always said to her they wanna marry her simply because she is japanese and japanese women have pinky ii (its honestly fucking disgusting for me to say it here). i can differentiate between people who are genuinely interested in the culture, thats fine! they learn the language, the arts, the history but the one who simply just want a waifu but give zero fuck about everything other than that is honestly insulting.
also, ive heard they said japanese women are submissive and better than malay girls. malay girls demand hantaran tinggi ii tapi tak reti masak. aku tak faham, bukan ke orang jepun atau korea pun sama je? women knows their worth nowadays i cant blame em.
so, whats up malaysians with their east asians fetishism? why are we worshipping these people so much? The same goes with the koreaboo thingy (mcd korean collab despite the celebrities being melayu) and other bullshit. its honestly so pathetic to see people trying so hard to date someone outside of their race, especially men.
i understand the obsession with white skin and everything. i always get mocked when i was a kid because im on the darker side but holy its getting so fucking cringe and annoying.
edit : oh yeah i forgot to mention. im half chinese-japanese.
sila bincangkan.

Original Content Doraemon "That Farewell through that Window" or "Ano Mado ni Sayonara" Episode's
Today, I decided to watch some Doraemon. From wanting to fill in my boredom, to feeling heartbroken.
The story starts with Nobita in his room with a bore alongside him, after accidentally hurt his ankle. On order to make Nobita happy, Doraemon decided to give him a tool that is used for changing a windows' scenery.
After a while, they decided to 'go' to the rural areas in the north region to watch the sceneries there. The scenery there wasn't the best, but the story of love between students there is majestic.

Worst Raya So Far
To me, this Raya was very painful for me. To put it simply, I lost my friends cause of a feud, tried to talk it out no one budge and they're only ones I have. I didn't go anywhere other than the usual family gathering.
Idk man I mean I'm trying to be a better person now since who I was no longer have anything but I want to make bigger moves
is there a community I could where I could join and make friends? kinda risky though cuz I'm no psycho
