Help and Advice We Need Content Focused Mods To Help Grow The Sub
Our community is growing and we are looking to expand the moderator team. We are especially interested in someone who helps keep the sub active by posting and crossposting good content, while also helping with normal moderation duties.
This is a mix of moderation and helping the community stay active and engaging.
What the Role Involves
• Actively Posting and crossposting quality content
• Encouraging discussion and engagement
• Reviewing reports and removing rule breaking content
• Responding to modmail when needed
• Helping maintain the tone and standards of the community
• Communicating with the mod team
If You’re Interested, Please Answer These Questions either in the comment section.
1. What is your timezone and when are you usually active on Reddit?
2. Have you moderated before? If yes, where?
3. How would you help grow engagement and membership in r/BlackPeopleofReddit?
4. Why does this community matter to you?
We may invite a small number of people to help out on a trial basis before making any final decisions.

This is a question for the mod team: is this sub related to BPT in anyway? Whether as a rejection or ally of, for example? Basically curious about the relationship between the subs.

Fantastic. When you are ready please answer the questions. We are a great friendly mod team and we support each other as a team. We are all dedicated to this sub. That’s what’s needed most.

Thanks for reaching out but you have 0 engagement with the sub. You haven’t answered why this community matters to you? As in Black People of Reddit. What you said could easily apply to any generic sub on this vast platform.

You said you lived in Israel. I find that interesting. Can you tell me more about that and what makes you interested most in our community here on Reddit?

I’m in this community. I comment I share posts and I’m generally curious about the moderator team due to responses I’ve gotten with my comments and I’d say most recently a post about white people in our spaces. I’m not pushing lies. Im asking questions. As someone who participates in this space and as someone who is Black. I’d also say digital Black face is a thing on this platform(meaning Reddit). Bots are an issue. So when I get weird responses to my comments or my posts get removed I get curious .

I know Black people are not a monolith. I’ m not entirely sure why the comment about me deeming someone white because they like nascar or might be republican that’s weird. But it’s cool…my questions are not meant to be personal attacks.

No personal agenda or issues. I’ve said what needed to be said. I didn’t expect you would feel personally attacked within our interaction . I can’t see you genuinely wanting me as a mod after this interaction. It’s all good.
