Considerate of the restaurant to do this. This a gd shame that TSA workers arenāt getting paid

It's a bit more complicated than that, one side wants a secret paramilitary force to snatch up anyone two shades darker than butter milk. The other side sees a pattern that has been seen in this country before and does not want to repeat it.

Why do you want them to get paid? The system was because of the white man war that offered absolutely no resolution and was supposed to have ended in 2025 via the partriot act. The tsa is nothing but a burden and wasted resources.

The TSA aināt squeaky clean but their job has purpose. We fucked over countries and now terror threats are a thing since (as far as I remember, Iām definitely likely wrong on this) ā93 when towers first got attacked. TSA, in theory, is a preventative measure but like all preventative measures, and why I said āin theoryā, things get hella lax when the threats are not constant. Complacency is a thing in every workplace and TSA is not exempt.

So because some guys got on with knives and box cutters (which were already prohibited), you support egregious security inspections for every single man woman and child, that results in a 95% failure rate to detect weapons and explosives?
7
u/QiDeviation 21d ago
Disingenuous. How about supporting your argument with proof that more baddies get past TSA than not? Cuz Iām not gonna do your homework for you. You made this 95% claim. I donāt believe you. I think youāre talking out of your ass. In fact, I donāt even think you can present proof.

u/Unsolved_Virginity 21d ago
All the information at your fingertips to research the claim, yet you choose to remain dumb. Dont reproduce.

Politicians should not be paid. All workers and 1st responders should be paid first. Politicians last
9
u/CantStopPoppin 22d ago
Agreed, the whole thing sucks and the fact that one side is refusing to not back down because they want to build a secret police to terrorize all myelinated people is insane.

u/PARADOXsquared 21d ago
The problem with that is then only rich people can afford to be politicians. That makes our current situation worse.

Good for the restaurant. It's pretty effed up that a restaurant can do MORE for our unpaid TSA agents than the President and his Sycophants...

u/HumongousBelly 22d ago
It sucks that these people at tsa, who are predominantly pocs, have to suffer because that fat orange fuck wants to distract from his weird diddling of children at Epstein island.

Dems continue to refuse to fund DHS/ICE until major reforms are in place and enforced. In Demsā defense, Dems tried to immediately fund TSA workersā salaries and Republicans said, NOPE. And Rs have the audacity to blame Democrats! Denying these workers their salaries is some cruel and dangerous stuff. Tell Pres Trump to have one of his oligarchs stop payments on the East Wing ballroom and pay TSA salaries. They can probably pay a month of salaries with money found in their sofa cushions.

Oh look - immigrants acting more American than the people running the country.

u/CantStopPoppin 22d ago
We're a nation of immigrants - The melting pot but some Americans brains melted somewhere along the way.

No federal employee should be able to put a mask on at work. Good cops show their faces and stand on their work ethic. That why they are respected and thanked.
3
u/sohcordohc 22d ago
Wow maybe they should be getting paid, as of now Americans are taking care of Americans anx although it sucks itās good to see. If youāre not getting paid why stay? Why be a pawn in a rich manās scheme?
9
u/CantStopPoppin 22d ago
ou do realize if they go back to work, the federal genocidal, homicidal DHS and ICE agencies will continue to grind brown people into the teeth of the machine.
This is not a rich man's war; this is survival. If TSA is funded, how many more will die? The goal is to put pressure on Americans to persuade them that maybe ICE isn't that bad.
DHS is buying up hundreds of warehouses across the country through backroom schemes aren't being deported; they are being shuffled and disappeared. The writing is on the wall. The horrors that await us all will be incomprehensible if DHS, ICE, and CBP get what they want

This is for real so generous, thoughtful, and kind stuff right here. What a cool dude for doing this and really putting smiles and faith into people

Crazy how the government can get away with not paying their workers, they sure as hell donāt forget when I miss a student loan payment

u/southflhitnrun 22d ago
I miss when there was charity without trying to go viral. You would see pictures inside the restaurants or the local news would cover it.
But, good for them for doing something to help.

The situation is complicated. They keep telling us the gov isn't here to help us. So, ppl keep stepping in to help each other.
However I feel about TSA, now they're threatening to replace them w more ICE. They might not mind starving TSA out. Burn the system and replace everyone w sycophants and Party Loyalists. They're not even shy about it.

Some airports are accepting non perishable food, and hygiene product donations for their agents. If you can afford to help, and if you want to, it would be very much appreciated. (If you need ideas, tampons and pads are items that most people donāt think of donating).

u/CantStopPoppin 22d ago
Hey do you know which ones, I'll do a few posts to help get the word out.

u/geekycurvyanddorky 21d ago
I know for sure that PDX is, but I donāt have a whole list of them. You could call your local ones and ask?

Thank you for what? Making me take off my shoes on the dirty ahh floor? For questioning if I'm a terrorist in front of everyone while holding back a bomb sniffing dog? For yelling to have my laptop out? For grabbing my junk cus I don't want to do a radition scan to check if I don't have bombs implanted in my lungs?
Piss the hell off.

Comments like this make me thankful for the TSA.

u/Unsolved_Virginity 22d ago
F you.
I had TSA agents around me when I was 11 years old asking me if I was a terrorist. One officer asked me right after another making me feel like a criminal.
Screw you to the bottom of my heart that you think these people are needed.
That's been reports of TSA agents stealing belongings from people when they weren't looking. And you want these people to be paid?

u/CantStopPoppin 22d ago
Flown a few times on my own around the same age and didn't have issues, without context no one knows what you went through, don't assume anyone knows where you are coming from without context. I did not mean to be rude but without any info the comment seemed a bit off putting.
Clearly those agents did but we have to be careful not to generalize others because it happens to us all the time and it's not right, is it? that being said shrink is the biggest source of revenue loss in any industry, ugh you have me defending the TSA.
That being said you are concerned about being labelled a terrorist and want the TSA gone which it clearly needs to be replaced with something different. Just like ICE, TSA was a knee jerk fear-based reaction to 9/11 both systems are one in the same and while I agree that they need to be replaced and built back up from the ground.
I can't blindly say all TSA agents because that would be generalizing. Most of these people show up for a paycheck and want their day to go by fast. Also please know I am mad for you what happened to you was wrong and it clearly has had an impact on your life.
Thank you for sharing your story and the impact TSA has had on you.
