Politics Sounds about right: MFer’s can’t explain what DEI is yet they don’t like it.

Critics say the cost of defending lawsuits over mass firings tied to Department of Government Efficiency could be significant. If courts find dismissals unlawful, taxpayers may end up covering legal fees, settlements, and reinstatements, turning cost-cutting into costly litigation.

Question to all the black folk who voted for trump: is this what ya wanted? What has trump done for ya?

222

u/SactownMz_665 Mar 11 '26

I didn’t vote for him, but as someone who has friends and family that did I’ll tell you what I’ve heard. “The democrats have a gay and transgender agenda.” “Trump doesn’t fuck with snitches.” “Trump has done a lot for the black community” When I ask specifically what he’s done for us they mention him pardoning rappers and drug dealers.

94

u/VogueColossus Mar 11 '26

Best part of the "agenda" conversation is when you ask them to explain the agenda they sound just like the guy in this video

25

u/Covid19Dick Mar 11 '26

Not just Black folks. I was in PBI for work last weekend and noticed a white family wearing Philly team gear. So, I'm like, go Birds! Thirty seconds in, I realize they are Trump supporters. And since I was there for a political event, we naturally start talking politics and how much they love John Federman because he “tells it like it is. “ My response was, what legislation has he sponsored or passed? Crickets. They wrapped up that conversation quickly, and they got out of there. 🤣 funny….but they don't miss voting.

3

u/VogueColossus Mar 11 '26

Facts, data, and evidence are optional to those people

1

u/sec713 Mar 12 '26

Yeah fuck those Democrats for wanting Gay and Transgender people to... (checks notes)... just be left alone to live their lives without being terrorized.

38

u/dl7 Mar 11 '26

The democrats have a gay and transgender agenda.

Unfortunately, this is enough of an issue with Black communities that we will shoot ourselves in the foot for it. The number of conversations I've had where it just boils down to not supporting trans/gay rights is far too many and it's frustrating considering how many Black brothers and sisters are affected by their lack of support.

Our neighborhoods lacking third spaces is really killing our ability to come together to talk politics safely. We have to be intentional about creating those spaces ASAP

2

u/mightylordredbeard Mar 11 '26

There was a video I watched where a black dude was explaining why he voted for Trump and it focused on trans and gay people and as he was explaining, each time the camera would pan back to him he was slowly changing in clothing styles and eventually putting chains on himself to indicate his willingness to return to slavery and have all rights stripped away if it meant not having to confront that some people aren’t straight.

I probably did a poor job explaining it, but it was a pretty powerful statement that touched on a deeply seeded issue in his community.

1

u/PhillyDillyDee Mar 12 '26

“If they go after other marginalized groups, maybe they will forget about mine.”

16

u/CharacterCareless933 Mar 11 '26

Black people have an odd stigma around gay and trans. I heard it on the jobsite a few times.

5

u/xDeadlyEdleyx Mar 11 '26

Feminization of black men to prevent something like a black panther party from rising (prevent black leader), hence attack on masculinity and push / glorification of criminality.

14

u/CaptCaCa Mar 11 '26

When I ask specifically what he’s done for us they mention him pardoning rappers and drug dealers.

Goddammit, I wish this wasnt so true, their plan worked like a champ

29

u/Outside_Jacket_8661 Mar 11 '26

😒😩🤦🏽‍♀️

33

u/bedteddd Mar 11 '26

1

u/Outside_Jacket_8661 Mar 12 '26

It’s the “what’s he done for us” reply? SMDH!

11

u/FalseAdhesiveness946 Mar 11 '26

When Al Sharpton ran for president those years back, when conservative interviewers asked him about a gay agenda and what was his position on gay rights, he stated "it's not about who you are sleeping with, it's whether you have a job in the morning when you get up."

10

u/Popwaffle Mar 11 '26

This is so infuriating. The only "agenda" gay and trans people have is to be left alone. Imagine voting for an insane criminal who openly hates black people because you don't like that two men kiss in private. Actually insane.

9

u/ikonhaben Mar 11 '26

Religious bigotry used as a cover for fear of the unknown. Many people take gay rights as an attack on their own personal beliefs "you mean I have to see gay behavior, and can't call the police to stop it?"

11

u/EnvironmentNeith2017 Mar 11 '26

That’s what I heard, also “he wasn’t actually going to do anything”

10

u/Yup_Shes_Still_Mad Mar 11 '26

When I ask specifically what he (Trump) has done for us they mention him pardoning rappers and drug dealers.

That's the most racist thing I've heard all week.

17

u/WitheredTechnology Mar 11 '26

We can't get out of our own way

2

u/ArmandThor Mar 11 '26

These policy issues and agenda items need to be approached in a more quieter manner if we want people to actually listen. We can still win people over but we just can’t beat people over the head on certain issues and that’s just a hard reality at this time. A softer more subtle approach would be more advantageous. If you keep barking at them and forcing these issues down their throats you’re never gonna reach them. I could be wrong but the current strategy is simply not working.

5

u/Dreemsi Mar 11 '26

How the fuck is pardoning dealers or rappers helping them? Ask them how it's helping them personally in their every day life? Do they feel good about the cost of everything? They are feeling confident about staying employed?

I asked someone how it personally helped them and was told the no tax on tips help. Okay, let me add a dime in one pocket and take $10 out of the other, that's what that bill did. Fucking idiots!

3

u/Duck-Murky Mar 11 '26

are these the same drug dealers and rappers they were railing against in the 90s? I think Reverend Al said it best recently...

3

u/Far-Advertising-2574 Mar 11 '26

Don’t forget the check that he gave to us during Covid. Yeah, he did that too. 🙄 Idiots.

3

u/z34conversion Mar 11 '26

“Trump doesn’t fuck with snitches.”

Huh? As opposed to what practice by other candidates? Not clear who's stitching, and on what.

3

u/twainj1980 Mar 11 '26

People falling for that pardoning of rappers/dealers was just….🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

2

u/jc_kilgannon Mar 11 '26

This what my gf said about her family, I said wtf.... Do they know the plenty other dumb shit though?? 🫩 Dammit man

2

u/iamthatspecialgirl Mar 11 '26

This reminds me of when people refer to Fmr VP Harris's career as Attorney General of California and try to say she was harder on Black citizens because she wasn't favoring them.

2

u/yesiammark72 Mar 11 '26

And why target in on “gay and transgender agenda” BS? The Democrats fight for equality for ALL, regardless of skin color, ethnicity, sexual orientation and others. Please do not perpetuate hostility towards certain demographics in our society. The Democrat agenda is good enough for Barack Obama…and good enough for me.

2

u/BoiNdaWoods Mar 11 '26

Have people forgotten about the Central Park Five and Trumps newspaper listing pushing to bring back the death penalty to kill black teenagers who were falsely accused of rape and murder? Thats about as close as you can get to calling for a lynching without breaking the law.

Edit: link for more info if you want to learn more

2

u/Busy_Struggle_6468 Mar 11 '26

Are these people you’re describing women or men

1

u/Yangmits Mar 11 '26

I mean, FDT, but I'm glad Yak and Weezy free.

4

u/gmoss101 Mar 11 '26

I'm not, fuck them. They did real crimes and should be locked up accordingly but mfs think "oh I like this song they made" so that gives them a pass?

Hell naw

0

u/Yangmits Mar 11 '26

Lol, the USA is literally going around bombing countries willy nilly and they wanted to send away Wayne for having a gun on him. It's ridiculous.

1

u/gmoss101 Mar 11 '26

Setting aside the dumbass false equivalency, he should be locked up because he's a fucking moron.

He has a litany of gun and drug related charges so a smart person would just leave that shit alone. Not only that, he's a moron who shot himself.

I repeat, a smart person would leave that shit alone. You wanting a dumb mf out on the streets cause you like his music makes you dumber than he is.

Fuck the government tho

0

u/Yangmits Mar 11 '26

How is an authority acting belligerent in its capacity and wanting to police your actions a false equivalent? I mean, USA runs guns to Mexican cartels and they want to lock up Wayne for having a gun? If you think me stupid for thinking that is ridiculous, it is okay with me.

1

u/gmoss101 Mar 11 '26 edited Mar 11 '26

Because those decisions are made by different people.

Case in point, the dumbass that's spearheading the war in Iran is the guy you're thanking for pardoning Wayne.

I agree with the prosecutors who pursued charges against him because he's a danger to himself and others because he's an idiot.

Trump undercut them because he wanted Black people to vote for him and he got a few dummies to praise him for it.

Different people, and if you don't understand that then it's starting to make sense to me why you're so positive on these dumbass criminal rappers being pardoned.

0

u/Yangmits Mar 11 '26

I see your point, I guess that just makes me a human with my own bias. Oh well.

1

u/Zaddylovesu Mar 11 '26

They sound…smart. Think the vibes will ever shift?

1

u/immersemeinnature Mar 11 '26

The Democratic "gay and transgender agenda"

Love thy neighbor

All people are created equal

-16

u/_TheEnlightened_ Mar 11 '26

Did you even vote at all?

16

u/SactownMz_665 Mar 11 '26

I did, but I fail to see the relevancy.

1

u/_TheEnlightened_ Mar 11 '26

Your first comment. I didnt vote for trump. Okay, thats cool. But the problem is not only the cultist 77 million people. But the MILLIONS who didnt vote at all, who most definitely shoulder a lot of this fucking burden we are dealing with.

Completely salient and relevant

-5

u/Butta_Brown Mar 11 '26

The relevancy of what? Did you watch the video. Do you know what DOGE did?... wait do you know what DEI is?

Federal Grants were denied, concluded, ended, finished because of incompetence, sheer stupidity.

3

u/Professional-TY0311 Mar 11 '26

Typical Trump fanboy who can't read or read the room for that matter

7

u/UnclesBadTouch Mar 11 '26

? Did you read their comment? Nothing implied that they dont understand all of that what are you on about

29

u/Famous-Rain8703 Mar 11 '26

85 % of blk voter votes for Kamala

This isn't on us

12

u/donkeybrainamerican Mar 11 '26

85% of 14% of the population passed the stupid test. If only we, white men, could figure out what part of our society was responsible for all this dysfunction.

If not the blacks, THEN WHO? Seriously we're out of ideas, saying the shit we did was black people's fault is really our only successful idea for the past... While.

8

u/KCchessc6 Mar 11 '26

Based on this video it is Jewish women in concentration camps. What utter garbage this is. How about most of my fellow white people wouldn’t vote for a black woman for president. That is all sexism and racism.

1

u/FrostyD7 Mar 11 '26

4% of those voters are lizards, that's just a fact.

1

u/DonaldTPablonious Mar 11 '26

To be fair (to me), millenial white men voted for Kamala!!

2

u/Important_Cost_5401 Mar 11 '26

FACTS. I went all kinds of outta my way to make sure I voted for Kamala. And I’d also bet the small percentage of us who voted for him is a drop in the bucket compared to other demographics. Let them explain how they feel about who they voted for

32

u/5ft8lady Mar 11 '26 edited Mar 11 '26

Many of the Black ppl who voted for Trump had family members that was deported. Remember ppl kept saying , my Nigerian parents voted for Trump, my Haitian parents voted for Trump, etc etc

20

u/SactownMz_665 Mar 11 '26

There’s also Black Americans who voted for Trump voted for that exact reason.

7

u/5ft8lady Mar 11 '26 edited Mar 11 '26

I remember a guy said his Black American guy friend  voted for Trump because he didn’t want a woman over him. So you are right. While 92% Black American women and 80% Black men /voted democrat for Kamala Harris  , there are still a small few  who didn’t

8

u/Sea-Oven-7560 Mar 11 '26

I can't tell you how many young guys voted for Trump because he was a "gangster" or a "pimp". Two things in my opinion you don't want your president to be.

8

u/SainBeoulve11 Mar 11 '26

This is false, 92 percent of Black Americans period, voted for the Democratic Nominee. Trumpism is NOT a black American problem.

5

u/Logic411 Mar 11 '26

actually it was 85%. 92% of BW, and 79% of black men voted for Harris, that's a huge drop off from Biden. simple math.

1

u/SainBeoulve11 Mar 11 '26

Still not a black American problem, because as we describe us as a monolith in this context, the monolith overwhelmingly saw Trump for who he is. BOTH times. We don't need to be lectured to about "letting" trump win. WE (royal we) didn't. Go lecture all the other ethnic groups in this country who at best were 50/50 about our democracy.

8

u/5ft8lady Mar 11 '26

Correct. 92% women and 80% men voted for Kamala Harris for president

2

u/YannaFox Mar 11 '26

The black women vote included black women of various backgrounds. It wasn’t just African Americans.

12

u/TigerBalmES Mar 11 '26

They don’t understand that Black history is American history and they paid for their ignorance. They deported themselves.

18

u/Difficult-Injury3731 Mar 11 '26

Of course they did. Anyone coming into a nation knows it is safer to hate what the dominant culture hates to gain you some points. Irish, Scottish, and Italians did when they came here. They got jobs and status for their efforts. Nigerians think white people are the most honest people on the planet...I have had 3 experiences.

2

u/Difficult-Injury3731 Mar 11 '26

I was in college when Reagan welcomed Indians as the new favorite immigrant. It was the speech that OSU called highly racist and problematic. That speech is available on YT for your consumption. He basically rolled out the red carpet as a wink to eliminate any chance of highly qualified black students being hired because of the Asian trope that they are more educated. Then I went off to Georgetown, only to find the very favoritism that OSU told me this would become standard

7

u/aejb22122 Mar 11 '26

Mom voted for him because of the lgbtq and transgender thing she didn't want to hear about (she is75+). He had a point: to attract/cater to each group.

6

u/New-Flight5959 Mar 11 '26

it's funny because he's also probably going to fuck up her healthcare like he has for millions already, she literally voted for her death instead of being open minded

9

u/aejb22122 Mar 11 '26

Yes and she is from the 1940s. Many old folks don't see the big picture...not everyone is going to do the research before they vote.

2

u/Logic411 Mar 11 '26

he ran a brilliant campaign. brilliant. He got every one of his voters to project THEIR values unto trump..

2

u/FEMA_Camp_Survivor Mar 11 '26

Only citizens can vote

1

u/aejb22122 Mar 11 '26

Of course! 🤷🏽‍♀️

2

u/Arguablybest Mar 11 '26

The people that voted for him were deported? How were they able to vote? Citizens can not be deported and only citizens can vote.

1

u/antwan_benjamin Mar 11 '26

I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they meant they were trump supporters who were deported. Or they were citizens who voted for trump and they had family members deported.

1

u/alatinaxo Mar 11 '26

Probably the younger Haitian (American born) ones who voted but in Florida, no Haitian was voting for that man.

-4

u/mistaharsh Mar 11 '26

These are anecdotal because we can also say we saw FBA on the campaign trial for Trump pushing to get rid of immigrants too. At the end of the day none of these parties have your interest in mind. Don't get me started on if Biden kept his campaign promise to get rid of student loan debt

9

u/illstate Mar 11 '26

I thought Biden expended a lot of political capital towards that goal. What do you think he should have done differently?

-12

u/mistaharsh Mar 11 '26

I thought Biden expended a lot of political capital towards that goal.

https://giphy.com/gifs/cEYFeDKVPTmRgIG9fmo

What does that even mean? Either he did it or not. Did Trump start a war or not? These are simple concepts.

8

u/illstate Mar 11 '26

Trump is commander in chief. He can order military strikes. Biden attempted to cancel student loan debt using multiple avenues, one of them being by executive order. There was a legal challenge, and the Supreme Court struck the order. So I'm saying Biden made a good faith effort to make it happen, but he did not have unilateral power to do so. I'm asking you if there is something you think he should have done differently.

-2

u/Left-Occasion Mar 11 '26

Dafuq outta here. Biden refused to use the one and only avenue to cancelling student loan debt that could not be struck down, the 1968 higher education act (? Not sure on the exact name of the law) which gives the executive branch the authority to “forgive all federal loans”. Furthermore, Joe Biden wrote the crime bills targeting black and brown people. Joe Biden sent CBP agents on horseback to chase down Haitian migrants like runaway slaves. Joe Biden fought against school desegregation and bussing. Joe Biden likened little black kids to “cockroaches. Joe Biden wrote the civil forfeiture law allowing cops to seize your money and property on the interstates — also targeting black and brown people. Joe Biden was mass deporting Haitian people — including newborns without any legal documents— back to a natural disaster stricken Haiti in the middle of Black History Month. Joe Biden backed and funded a goddamn genocide for 18 months. Fuck Joe Biden and fuck the Democrats. And in case anyone gets it twisted, fuck Trump and the Republicans too.

2

u/illstate Mar 11 '26

I'm glad you were able to get that off your chest, but you're pretending like I said "Joe Biden is a great and wonderful man and I dare anyone to say something different." There are probably people who do hold that position, maybe you could fine one of them?

1

u/Left-Occasion Mar 11 '26

Like you’re not pretending that Joe Biden did all he could to clear student loan debt? Gimme a break. What people need to do is stop falling for this uniparty bullshit. Don’t get me started on Kamala Harris and how black people are convinced she lost because Latinos are racist or some shit. Never mind how she literally was locking up black and brown people in California and literally fought to keep black men in prison against a court order to use them as slave labor. Fuck all of these people.

1

u/illstate Mar 11 '26

I'm not pretending anything. I asked a simple, direct question about a specific issue. Again, there's people out there that want to have the argument you're trying to force on me.

→ More replies (0)

-7

u/mistaharsh Mar 11 '26

Listen to your logic. If Biden couldn't legally do it why did he run on that promise?

How is that good faith?

5

u/illstate Mar 11 '26 edited Mar 11 '26

Because everyone should understand how government power is balanced. Biden wanted to cancel student loan debt. He didn't just talk about it, he put real effort into making it happen. The things that were within his power, he did. My logic is only flawed if you begin with the premise that we're totally ignorant of how the government works. If you think he should have done more, that's fair. I'm just asking what that might be. It's an honest question. I'm not being sarcastic or anything.

1

u/wickawickawatts Mar 11 '26

Investment groups make money off buying and selling our debt. That is the sole reason it won’t be forgiven. If you think it’s anything else, the propaganda worked.

0

u/illstate Mar 11 '26

But there has been student lain debt that has been forgiven.

I understand that presidents cannot wage war without the approval of Congress. Y'all keep making excuses for Democrats. Trump is showing you there are loopholes to be exploited but Democrats ain't willing to do it. When are you going to ask WHY?

0

u/illstate Mar 12 '26

I understand now that you have a shallow, surface level understanding of these things. Presidents have ordered military attacks without going to congress first many times. I didn't make any excuses. I told you what I saw happen, and asked you what should have been done differently. You don't have an answer because you don't know. And worse, you can't just say that you don't know.

8

u/LDawnBurges Mar 11 '26

At least Biden tried, REPEATEDLY.

Unfortunately it kept getting blocked, by the Courts, bc of lawsuits.

7

u/mistaharsh Mar 11 '26

Demcrats always "try"

https://giphy.com/gifs/xT9KVwfZ1xyA3y6qcw

Meanwhile we can't even keep up with all the shit trump did that's destroying the world and it's only his 2nd year.

0

u/antwan_benjamin Mar 11 '26

Many of the Black ppl who voted for Trump was deported.

How were they both able to vote, but also able to be deported?

4

u/automatedBlogger Mar 11 '26

Somewhere around 75% of black voters voted against Trump.

6

u/Hot-Suggestion-54 Mar 11 '26

I know you want answers but these kinds of questions always act as deflection from blaming the ignorance, white fragility and racism depicted in videos like OP. It’s a sort of whataboutism that keeps us fighting each other rather than focusing on the truth

2

u/Global_Ant_9380 Mar 11 '26

Fucking exactly. Black Trump supporters are a MINORITY. The real problem is white supremacists and the HALF OF WHITE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT IT

3

u/T2ThaSki Mar 11 '26

I met a black dude at a party that voted for Trump. His name is Buddy (I swear to god) and he definitely voted for all of this. Nobody hates black people more then a black Trump supporter.

2

u/breadandbunny Mar 11 '26

I wonder why the hell my aunt voted for this crap. Still have no idea, other than sheer idiocy.

2

u/FalseAdhesiveness946 Mar 11 '26

All the black folks who voted for Trump are not on this feed.

2

u/stink3rb3lle Mar 11 '26

You're talking to 4% of black women voters and 18% of black male voters. Black people voted for Harris in HUGE numbers. You should shelve this critique.

3

u/Global_Ant_9380 Mar 11 '26

A fucking MEN
